Had lunch there today. Lovely food, a warm welcome, and attentive staff. Prices very reasonable. I'd recommend visiting if you are in the area. The area around the pub is nice and peaceful. The menu caters for everyone, even if you only want a small meal.

Service good but condition not so good
The service was good but the condition of the rooms was not so good - cobwebs, dusts, heating system not working but portable heater was to the rescue.

As usual wonderful food and excellent service. The steak pie was generous and delicious, and the prawns and sauce to die for. Will be going again soon. This was a family birthday outing and we all enjoyed it very much. We have been often and they never disappoint

Have been on a number of visits including for a Christmas meal. Friendly, helpful staff and good honest food. Dogs welcome in the bar area only. Prices very reasonable. Looking forward to returning in the summer as there is a lovely sunny outside area where you can see the trains wizz by.

We are occasional regulars as we live quite a distance away. We always have lunch here if we are traveling anywhere nearby. We called again today as usual the food was great chicken goujons and a garlics dip. I usually have the king prawns but had a change today. My husband had the chicken curry, so much he couldn’t eat it all. I had the scampi and chips with the nicest peas iv ever had in a restaurant, you usually get the cheapy big peas but these were like garden fresh peas. Such good value. Picked up the Christmas menus to bring a group of friends.

Booked a table for eight to celebrate two birthdays and had no regrets, we all enjoyed a lovely evening and meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful at this family run inn which creates a lovely atmosphere to relax in and enjoy. The landlord introduced himself and although he hasn't enjoyed the best of health every effort has been made to ensure the satisfaction of his guests. If there was a fault it would be the length of time between ordering and receiving the meals at the table but this can be forgiven because they were quite busy at the time. The food was excellent and the evening was very enjoyable. I would heartily recommend this inn, it is well worth a visit. In fact, we all enjoyed it so much we have booked our next visit over the festive period to enjoy their very tempting Christmas menu. Will be reporting on that.

This cozy and charming inn in the heart of England exceeded our expectations. Excellent service, delicious food, and comfortable rooms made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for any families visiting Gloucestershire
