The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant

This is a beautifully appointed inn located in an amazing historic building. The breakfast included with the stay was delicious!

Nice room with great Owners! Good location In Standardsville Virginia. We had a great dinner and got to know the owners. Very quiet and secluded parking lot. Good value for the money and would go back in the future. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

This historic Inn in a very small town ( population about 400) was a lovely respite. There was ample space in the room with a full bed, private bath and sitting area with fireplace. The restaurant on site offered a very nice dinner menu and wine selection and breakfast was served st our table and complimentary. Loved everything about our stay. Very gracious hosts.

The Lafayette Inn and Restaurant is an experience of sincere hospitality. My family and I were making a chilly weekend outing to Charlottesville this past February and chose the Lafayette based on the many glowing reviews. We stayed in the Tyler Suite which seemed enormous for a Bed and Breakfast with two well appointed rooms and a spacious bathroom. My parents owned an antique mall for many years and the rooms feature pieces which are clean, well-chosen, and bring one back to another time. Despite that, both of our beds met and exceeded modern expectations of comfort. Breakfast in the morning was included, of course, and the reviews did not exaggerate. My French toast was the best I've ever had. The owner and Chef, Alan, could not have been friendlier in making sure my stay was a good one; he made me feel like a member of the family. My wife was skeptical when I researched a long time and chose the Lafayette (seemed off the beaten path; why this B&D?). However, she and my daughter were so happy with the experience after we left that it made me look like a hero in doing the research and choosing the Lafayette. This B&B would be a perfect home base for hiking in Shenandoah, visiting Charlottesville for the weekend (we did some escape rooms and the downtown mall), and taking in local history. Highly, highly recommended.

I loved our stay at the Lafayette Inn. It's old but charming. The dinner was wonderful and the free breakfast was even better! Also the owners were so friendly and accomodating. I want to stay there again soon!
