Building & Location: The establishment is praised for its charming old building, cozy ambiance, and convenient location near Stamford. Easy parking is appreciated, though the proximity to a noisy road is occasionally noted.

Having worked in the Stamford area for the last 2 years. The Collyweston Slater has become my favorite place to stay. Amie and her team are brilliant and they always have a warm welcome. The rooms are smart, tidy and cozy and the food is second to none. It's also in a great location close to Stamford if anyone is ever attending events taking place in and around the town.

Fantastic choice on the menu. The quality of produce shines through. The meals are cooked to order and the freshness is clear in the taste/flavour. The portion size is well worth the value charged. The servers are great, nothing is too much trouble. We were served by Aubrey today and she was great. I highly recommend a visit. W go every time we go to Stamford.

If you are looking at this place, ask for the Harrod room. Kingsize bed and big bathroom with a stand alone roll top bath and separate shower. If you were a romantic couple, you wouldn’t leave this room. Comfortable Bar area and small restaurant with a full menu from Tuesday to Sunday. Pizza night on a Monday. Excellent parking. There is some road noise but it’s Ok.

Only told the night before due to arrive that pub was closed on a Tuesday- would have cancelled if known sooner. Meant had to let ourselves in through back yard & no opportunity for drinks etc Nothing to say that was closed on booking site or in previous communications. Room ok, bed too soft.

Had an amazing meal, would highly recommend. Great service great food and great location. The pork belly main meal was cooked to perfection, crackling had the perfect snap and the vegetables were cooked to perfection too. Will be visiting again.

The room was clean however there were traces of damp on the ceiling, the wall behind the bed and in the cupboard which is used a a wardrobe. The bed was comfortable and the room was big enough, although the chairs needed to be moved to be able watch TV but wasn't a problem. The double glazing was effective as there is a main road outside which has a fair amount of lorry traffic but as I said the double glazing worked well. There was a bath and shower, the shower had good water pressure and was easy to get a comfortable temperature, something that isn't always possible in many hotels! Having said that, a shelf or soap dish would be useful in the shower as there is only the floor to put anything on! The meals were very good, both breakfast and dinner, with a good choice of options. Our main complaint was that the room was not serviced, so we returned to an unmade bed and had to ask for additional toilet rolls and toiletries. Not sure why the room wasn't cleaned, I thought that stopped after Covid. The staff were helpful and always around if you needed them.

The staff were wonderful. I arrived late, after they closed but they stayed up and waited for me and made sure I got in and settled. They helped me with a taxi and could not have been nicer or friendlier. The bed was very comfortable and the area around was lovely too. I didn’t eat lunch or dinner there but it was full on Sunday for lunch.
