Great location, two minutes from the rail station & no more than five minutes from the town centre. Rooms are a bit basic, but they’re clean & bed was comfortable. Perfect for an overnight stay

The hotel was in a good position.
Breakfast was make your own in your room, it would have been good if there was milk in the room available.
The shower door and toilet needed a good clean it was filthy.
The only towel in the room was a hand towel.
I got up at approx 7:30 am, no one was around for me to ask for Milk or a Bath Towel.

Tired , basic and strange. But I only paid £58 so it was probably in line with that price. My room was very basic and in need of refurbishment. It doesn't seem as if the hotel conversions have been finished . For example, in my room a hardboard panel had been used to divide the bed from the toilet and shower but it hadn't been painted or had wall paper put up. The manager was very polite and friendly but maybe overly so. The breakfast consisted of a long life pain au raisin in a plastic packet, a corner yoghurt, a bottle of Schweppes orange juice, two white slices of bread wrapped in a packet, butter packs and a pint of milk with two Weetabix. The hotel served a purpose as a one night stay en route to somewhere else but I won't return.

We actually refused to check in and eventually got a refund via ******* ( we had prepaid) The location is great there is parking That’s all that’s good They outside is dirty and scruffy dead plants cab peeling paint No reception you have to phone and someone comes to let you in The interior tired grubby rundown not even 1 star I can’t believe recent 4 /5 * reviews

Sadly we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Friday night. People do not know what they are missing! Very friendly, chatty host and wonderful food cooked for you when you are there. Excellent value, three courses plus coffee and mints was £32.90. Wine more expensive but house wine perfectly drinkable and standard price for these days. The restaurant is downstairs in the cellar, stone walls, pictures, well laid tables with plenty of space but best of all everything lit by candlelight plus flowers on the table. Had a fabulous evening. Excellent way to start our holiday.

Excellent welcome on arrival end excellent accommodation with breakfast all ready in your room with cereal’s and Tea, Coffee sugar and milk so was close to hand in the morning.

Lovely hotel set in a peaceful location. Great price which includes car parking and light continental breakfast. Great host. It’s great to have a peaceful nights sleep. Perfect base for shopping around Stamford and most important a relaxing break. Can’t wait to go again 😊

We were in the top room. Room was comfortable enough and location was excellent. Shower didn't really work and the holder was broken so you couldn't attach it to the wall. The breakfast provided was in the room - cereals, some bread for toast and packets of butter, and jam. Was nice enough but not what we had expected. There was nice coffee and a cafatiere.
