The location is not as good as some of the hotels near the sea. It is a relatively small hotel with an average environment. However, I can't stay in the room for long. I usually walk around the town. The environment is good.

The interior and decoration are very old school, and the handsome guy at the front desk is so handsome in a suit and tie. The souvenir shop in the lobby is very distinctive, and the hotel has its own museum. It is not very far from voss and bergen, so it is very suitable for staying on the road by car.

Best thing is the splendid view overlooking the valley, simply amazing. However the negative aspects were quite bad. This hotel is really dated and is in desperate need of a refurb, absolutely old. Food wasn't brilliant, and wasn't restocked quick enough considering the amount of people they had crammed in there. All the tables were set for communal dining. It was really awful having to sit with people you don't know. The tables were also too close together making it difficult to get in and out. Staff seemed fed up and surly in the restaurant. Wouldn't stay here again.

Situated on a mountain with amazing views over the valley. However that really is the only good thing here. Hotel really busy in the restaurant with coach parties staying here. Private guests, but they also have many day trip parties arriving. The food isn't very good, with strange dishes that don't go well together. Very slow at restocking, buffet area is manic and the amount of people in their makes it very difficult to choose your food. Too many tables means it's difficult to get in/out from the table which seat 6 as it's communal dining. Some of the staff were quite unhelpful. You can help yourself to free tea and coffee in the bar area if you stay overnight, but each time you go to make a drink, there are no teabags, or no spoons, or the milk has run out. The rooms are very old and dated. A little chilly too, our heating wasn't working. Wouldn't come back here, felt like we didn't matter.

A decoração das salas e areas comuns é eclética e surpreendente. Excelente piscina interior. O quarto era bom e amplo mas as janelas davam para um espaço interior escuro e sem qualquer vista o que foi lamentável pois a maioria dos quartos tem óptima vista.
