Raven Hall Hotel

We stayed here as we were going into Scarborough for the Open Air Theatre and booked last minute. When we checked in the room was very very noisy as there was a wedding going on, we were out all night so knew it wouldn't be an issue if the wedding ended at a reasonable time, so on the way out my wife went to reception and asked about what time the music would finish and was immediately offered an upgrade to a quieter room, which we greatfully accepted. The new room was fabulous, with fabulous views over the bay and Robin Hoods Bay. The breakfast was okay, not fabulous but not bad. I have only given 4 stars as the bed was a bit uncomfortable for us, as it was very firm. All in all a very enjoyable stay

I checked out at 3.30am so didn’t get breakfast. Everyone working there was helpful and friendly and happy to help. I would stay here again

This hotel is at the end of a 40mile endurance walk and yesterday we recently completed that exact walk and had decided to treat ourselves with a stay here. . First of all, the short walk up the well kept drive and into the lovely reception area was such a welcome sight and from then on every single member of staff made us feel incredibly welcome. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere where the staff are so friendly and helpful - it’s like they’re all one big family who are determined to create a wonderful hotel experience. The lovely lady at reception checked us in and even reserved us a table for our evening meal. Our room was spacious, a perfect temperature and clean - a slight over sight of no toiletries but that was rightened instantly with a sincere apology. Move on to the restaurant and our evening meal. We loved the restaurant and the staff were, once again, incredibly helpful, polite and friendly. The food was utterly perfect: tasty, well presented and the perfect portion size. I’d also add that breakfast was equally good too. All in all, a great stay which was enhanced by every single member of staff.

Stayed overnight while hiking the Cleveland Way. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. They upgraded my room to avoid me being disturbed by a function. My evening meal was truly excellent - best lamb I've ever tasted, and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. Well worth a stay and it's in a beautiful location overlooking the coast to Robin Hood's Bay.

Excellent place to stay in a beautiful location. We stayed for 2 days during a wedding and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a good menu and offers gluten free alternatives which is a big requirement for my partner. The buffet breakfast was especially good, with a large choice from continental to the full fry up.

I have been going to Ravenscar since I was a child a great many years ago! Sadly the service and so many people there particularly a wedding affected the service and food and it was very noisy
