Excellent hotel, front staff very friendly & helpful. Room was clean & everything you would need, ( a fridge would have been handy)
10-15 minutes walk to town & sea front. Breakfast fine & plenty of choice, good evening menu.
Spa was excellent with infinity pool, jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, sauna & steam room at no extra charge.
Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is old, don't have expectations, the room facilities are similar to express hotels, and the location is average. What I saw when I checked in did not match the Ctrip promotional pictures at all. The windows can only be opened a little bit, so you can't see the outside, it's stuffy

A magnificent building and a very British atmosphere. English breakfast, but no beans… A little far from the tea center of Saint Helier, you should plan around a 20-minute walk.

Lovely hotel. All areas immaculate, I think possibly the cleanest, best maintained hotel I’ve ever been in. Excellent helpful staff. Pool and sauna top notch. Spa available, didn’t have any treatments but it’s there if that’s your thing. We were bed and breakfast, the breakfast was always excellent with plenty of choices. Bit of a walk into town but a shuttle bus runs and there’s a bus stop at the end of the drive. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was very nice, my only minor criticism would be the experience could be elevated from cafe to restaurant if there was table cloths and place settings rather than cutlery in a container on the table. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We stayed at Hotel de France for a romantic weekend getaway and absolutely loved it! 💕 Check-in was quick and friendly, and our spotless room came with a gorgeous view over St Helier perfect for sipping morning coffee on the balcony. The Spa was a true gem; so relaxing we almost forgot we had dinner reservations! Dinner itself was a highlight the oysters were divine, and the cocktails on the terrace (special thanks to Morris and Lucas!) were top-notch. If we’re being picky, the bar could benefit from an upgrade to proper whisky and wine glasses to match the otherwise stellar service. Breakfast was bustling but full of variety, and even with a coffee queue, the calm and friendly vibe never wavered. It’s a bit of a stroll to town, but the peaceful atmosphere more than makes up for it. Already planning our return for next summer! 💆♀️🍸❤️

I have to commend Tanya for her super clear communication skills - so fluent I did not have to repeat a single word she is a super listener & facilitated all needs. She impressed me back in Ireland & lived up to being even more in the hotel straightforward check in and thoroughness in customer care. What a fab Team individually and collectively in this hotel be it all on reception, shuttle bus operator, spa, restaurant, etc etc superbly run, best steak in 20,years, chips & garlic sauce excellent. One small thing mushroom & onions as standard with the steak would have been great or perhaps option of potato&veg. They were plenty of options for sides. Breakfast fab too. Well done everyone & thanks for making our 3 day mini-vacation so memorable 💐

Best trip ever - staff are amazing - but especially to Mike who was very caring attentive and met all our needs in the restaurant and the waiter who danced to the tables . The three maitre de were great and had a lot of patience and were inclusive to all staffs learning needs.. Other staff were amazing too. Free shuttle to town was great as hotel on hill even though there is a bus stop at entrance it is very steep entrance to get to hotel. so use the shuttle as this goes to the doors- although this could go on later and there is no shuttle sunday which is a shame . Pool is amazing small but great .

Lovely hotel. Staff are nice especially Michael and Francis who are waiters at mealtimes. Spa lovely with robes and slippers provided in room. No outside pool but loungers available outside by spa pool. Hotel very quiet with great showers and comfy beds. Breakfast fantastic. Very clean, great service all round. 20 mins walk to centre for shops and restaurants. Hotel has shuttle bus to town but buses stop outside hotel 13 and 23. In town there is a bus station and you can go anywhere! Taxi from town £10. Recommend visiting beaches all around as beautiful.
