This is actually a decent motel in a good part of town. It's clean (I didn't see any bugs). The front desk girl is very nice (she was always polite and professional). There are two issues that warrant only three stars: 1) There is a LOT of activity here, at ALL hours of the night. This means both, in and out of the room. There's always something going on in the parking area. At 4:00 AM a man in the room next to me made a rather lengthy phone call (the walls are a bit thin). Who makes calls at 4 in the morning?? 2) Also, the parking area is very cramped. So, if you're looking for a solid night's sleep, this is not the place. Otherwise, it's OK.

Bed and pillows were comfy, sheets were super soft. Room size was larger than expected. Location was great. Laundry mat was two blocks away so we had fresh beach towels. I would definitely stay again.

We were passing through the area and need to find a place to stay. (We needed a budget price and we were not looking for pool, hot tub, fashionable furnishings, or room service.) This hotel is clean, appears to be safe, and did not have much road noise. We had two rooms; I actually stayed in a handicap room on the ground level and it was excellent. Huge room which would make navigating in a wheelchair easy (even if you were travelling solo). Flat shower with good grip bars. Plenty of towels. Ample parking nearby. Wifi worked (although it came up as Econolodge and not Rodeway). If you are looking for the kind of place we were, I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

This is not a deluxe hotel, but it is clean and well kept for it's age. It is an older, 2 story motel. There is no elevator nor is there a pool or a fitness center. However, our room, while spartan, had a comfortable bed, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and an OK shower. The TV was good, tho with limited channels. For our overnight stay, we were satisfied.

Horrible manager. I didn't even stay here & he charged me for 3 nights! I called day of chk-in. Terms on ******* stated "late cancelation or no-show is liable for one night's charge." I was willing to do that but he charged me for all 3 nights. Waiting for refund.

Owner was very nice and he obviously has done alot of improvements on the hotel. The beds are large and very comfortable. Nice big screen tv with satellite. Clean bathroom. Everything freshly painted and clean. AC works great. Only 1 mile to the beach and main ***** in St Joeseph. Plenty of restaurants right by, can even walk. Great value also for this area. $110 on ***********. Definitely would stay again.

Met the owner on arrival, he was so nice and helpful. He is proud of the work he has done, and truly likes his job. The room was clean, everything works as it should. Love the faux headboards. Thought there would be noise from the street, there wasn't. Lobby is small, but really cute. At some point the pool will be repaired and reopened. They are painting the buildings and stair railings now. Furniture is not all new, but again, it's clean. Absolutely would stay again. I suspect in another year there will be even more updates.
