Quality Hotel Harbourview

Nice restaurant but did not like the Italian menu. Hotel much more modern than it use to be.

This was my second Double Tree hotel on my Canadian holiday and it was great. I chose a corner room with a harbour view and it was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. The guest laundry was easy to use and well located. The staff were very helpful. I was only here for one night before joining an expedition cruise but it was perfect for my needs, especially the easy walk to the waterfront shops and restaurants. Would recommend this hotel.

This is actually the second time I’m staying here. My first visit, back in the summer of 2019, this hotel was undergoing a major renovation/rebranding. Now with all of the work completed, I was eager to return. Our harbor view room (two queen beds) was tastefully decorated and the view was as great as I remember. It is fascinating to watch all of the activity taking place on the offshore supply vessels and commercial fishing boats. I did find the room to be a bit small (on my last visit I had a King room which seemed much larger). I was disappointed that there was only one chair in this room as one person had to sit in the bed. Also, on my first visit I had a bathroom with a walk in shower. This room, however, had a shower-tub combo which unfortunately leaked the entire time we were here 5 days/4 nights). The beds were comfortable and the pillows excellent. Housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay. The lobby area is very bright and modern with great views overlooking the harbor. One night we enjoyed drinks at the sophisticated bar and were attended to by the very welcoming bartenders. Front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the area. We were truly treated like valued guests.

Great location on the water. Staff very professional. Rooms are clean and quiet hotel with amazing view of the bay. Treat Diamond members well not only with water and preferred parking but also free parking for Diamond members! Always a nice touch to have a warm chocolate chip cookie but we were disappointed the second night arriving back home from dinner they were being “rationed”

Stayed 3 nights in a King harbour view corner suite … very interesting to see personal watercraft & marine activity in the harbour. Nice view of Signal Hill from our room! Our suite was very modern & clean, luxurious bedding & towels, quality Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in shower as well as body lotion on vanity; really appreciated nice wine & drink glasses in room (not plastic) . Very comfortable bed. Sam at the front desk was very pleasant & helpful, a true ambassador for this hotel & the city of St. John’s . The hot, fresh chocolate chip cookies handed out at reception were delicious!
