Woke to find bed bugs on my child, and all over the bed. Traumatized and never want to spend a night in a hotel again:( They did reimburse us for the night and give us free breakfast at Denny's. But I had to bag all my personal belonging into garbage bags, and then go out and buy all new clothes for me and my family to wear home, because we did not want to touch any of our personal belongings and possibly bring this home. So I ended up spending more money than the hotel room cost to get clothes for the 4 of us to wear home. Then I had days of cleaning, and freezing childrens toys, ect to take all precautions to not bring any of the bugs home with us.

So this hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown, easy taxi service if you don't want to drive. Check in and out was effortless, room was very clean and in good order. Room was well equipped and we caught a decent rate. No breakfast at the hotel, but Denny's is linked and Cora's is not far away. I saw some reviews that were less than flattering and frankly, I do not understand why. I would certainly recommend this as a good place to stay!

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in !!! Disgusting … found this in the pull out couch , bathrooms filthy , lobby and common areas and elevators very dirty .. I will never stay here again ! Asked the front desk for a vacuum cleaner so I could clean the room . This is not the first time this has happened in this hotel . We won’t ever be back

Well located. Upon entering the hotel, the first impression was that cleaning was not one of their top priorities. The hotel lobby windows were dirty, and there was garbage in the stairwells. Get to our room. Nice big rooms. Beds seemed like they were clean. The bathroom vanity wall was full of dry soap/toothpaste splatter. The shower had mold and mildew on the bottom tracks of the sliding doors and also on the grout and caulking. The closet door tracks were also very dirty. There definitely needs to be more effort into cleaning the rooms and the hotel. I would check out a Hilton for a few more bucks.

For the price of the bookings the amenities are not up to date. No smart TVs, things listed in amenities list not available, only one air conditioner in room. Cable tv is awful .. not impressed with the price

I recently stayed here on a short visit to St John's. I usually stay closer to downtown but this time I had to run a lot of errands near the Avalon mall so this location just made sense. The hotel is huge! and it its connected to a Denny's and a Moxies. I chose a room only rate as there is also a Tim Hortons right next door but I do not believe the hotel offers breakfast. I did have a coffee machine in my room and there was a coffee station by the lobby offering free coffee and pastries. The hotel itself is nice, clean and the elevators worked well. I visited the pool and jacuzzi but after a few minutes the smell of chlorine gave me a headache, I guess more ventilation is needed. The linens were comfortable, I had a great night sleep. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wishes to be closer to the commercial part of town. If you are looking for walkability to Water st, George st, etc you will need to be closer to town.
