We are a group of walkers that walk each week and finish our walk with a pub lunch. This was the second time we had visited the Bull in the past 4 months. On each occasion we have been pleased with the friendly service from the staff. The selection of beers meet our differing tastes and are well kept. The menu provides a good choice of dishes. The food is good in both quality and quantity. We look forward to visiting again soon and have no hesitation in recommending the Bull for a traditional pub lunch.

We have eaten here a few times recently. Staff are really welcoming, the Sunday lunch is just tip top and even the dog is most welcome! It has great character as a pub and we will be back again regularly from now on. Just first class! 👍😀

A real pleasure. Proper English pub to relax in. Food is first class, friendly atmosphere in a beautiful village setting. Ideal for Sunday lunch. Plenty of car parking and nice walks in the area around the pub.

We had the most amazing Sunday lunch today. Lots of Sunday Roast to choose from. I have never had such a large array of Vegetables and the Roast Beef was cooked to perfection. What was also perfect was the extra jugs of gravy. The service and the staff were outstanding. Lots of delicious desserts to choose from and a cheese cart with many types to choose from. Absolutely outstanding and Tony running the bar is an asset and such fun. We will definitely tell everyone and we will be back! Thank you Outstanding and we will all be back

Dropped in for a meal this evening. Lovely atmosphere as soon as we walked in and everyone was friendly. The meal was brilliant hot and plenty of it. We couldn't fault it . We will be coming back and will try the accommodation next time. Thank you from Sue and Dave .

My husband and I popped in to The Bull on our way home from shopping. We had a couple of drinks and were so comfortable we decided to treat ourselves to fish & chips. It was delicious. Gorgeous golden crunchy batter and the fish was moist and very tasty. The chips were lovely too, fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside. There were sides of peas snd salad. Everything was lovely, including the warm welcome. Would definitely recommend.

This was exceptionally poor. I rarely write reviews. Friendly land lady and staff. Wasn’t overwhelmed by the menu, but thought I’d stay and try as local. Astonished that I was served canned tomato soup (£5.95) and my fish cakes were frozen on a bed of iceberg lettuce with no dressing (£10.95). Admittedly the salad had beetroot and plenty of carrot. Just not been in a pub restaurant since the 1980’s that served frozen food (and at insulting mark ups). Soup & fish cakes are the easiest things to make. I’m only even reviewing as the landlady did not like me commenting. Her response was “well we have to charge something”. We can’t just serve it free. When I mentioned the frozen fish cakes, she said “those are hard to make those fish cakes”, as if there were some delicacy. Certainly not…This was a really poor meal. It’s a shame as I want this pub to survive and am local, but serving frozen food is really taking the p*ss. When there are so many other excellent pubs serving restaurant quality food or excellent pub grub, how have they thought they could fill their freezer and heat it up for customers? I’m prepared to risk reviewing as a local given the audacity of this pub & the landladies chat back.
