Amazing stay at Rufflets for 3 days while visiting St Andrew’s. Very friendly staff and the breakfasts were the best we had anywhere in Europe!

We had such a lovely stay at Rufflets. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and perfect for a morning walk before breakfast. Our room was quiet, cosy and had a lovely view across the grounds. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, especially at reception and in the restaurant. One evening, we had a fantastic dinner, I highly recommend the Confit North Sea Cod, if it’s on the menu. It’s a peaceful place but still really close to the town and golf courses. We’re already talking about coming back. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay so memorable.

Had an excellent stay here recently, room was beautiful and food was great. All the staff were so nice and attentive. Breakfast was amazing and would like to give a special mention to Natalie, she was so warm and welcoming, made us feel at home and was lovely to talk to. We will be back soon

This used to be a premier place to stay in St. Andrews. Not anymore. The staff was less than helpful, even passively/aggressive rude at times. Their website claims "guaranteed tee times at the Old Course." QUOTING: "We are proud to be an authorised provider of guaranteed Old Course tee times." Not true, and absolutely no help trying to arrange any golf. The toilets leaked and refilled all night, making for a terrible night's sleep. And it took 20 minutes to get a beverage in an otherwise empty bar. I was so incredibly disappointed in my Rufflets experience, and until management takes steps to remedy some systemic problems, I would highly suggest finding other accomodations.

Don't pay the premium price for this hotel. It is understaffed, poorly maintained, and certainly not worth the money spent. It is also inconveniently located outside of town, requiring a taxi for access, which we did not expect. And the included high tea with the room as to be ordered 24 hours in advance (no mention of this on the booking papers) and is over at 4, so we missed that which we had certainly looked forward to. Our room was full of mold, dust, and ants so we couldn't wait to leave the place. It was vastly disappointing.
