Mother India Group of Houseboats

The house boat looks great. However, there’s an attitudinal deficiency with the staff. 1. Hot water wasn’t there when required. We had to carry in buckets from the kitchen. The care taker didn’t help us. 2. We asked for tea and there’s no reply. We had to request thrice to get tea. 3. The care taker told us that dinner will be at 2030. After that they won’t heat it. The dinner consisted of rice, roti, dal and subji. They were really high on chilli. 4. We were told that breakfast would be only bread butter jam and nothing else. We had to talk tough to get an omelette. All these are included in 5000 per night we paid. The promises are high but delivery is sub optimal.

Houseboat is very beautiful from inside. But upkeep & maintenance was extremely poor. Very unprofessional guy managing the housekeeping as well food. He will disappear from houseboat without any info. You need shout to nearby houseboats & shikara guys to call him. Also, towels were extremely dirty (Yuckkk). Thank god we had dinner outside because breakfast quality was pathetic. Not very nice hospitality.
