Underwhelmed. Came w high expectations, place is really cool looking, but blah service, food and atmosphere. Zero dress code for employees. Street clothes and hoodies.

Not happy to give this review,but we waited 20 minutes for someone to take an order that we had to flag down. Then we waited 45 minutes and we asked is our food coming then they said the order never was sent in. They offered a breadbasket. We left. We are locals , so maybe they rely on transits and tourists.

What a wonderful place tucked back in the woods! Spent the night here after a hectic trip to Chicago and it was so very relaxing. Dinner was fantastic as were Monica and Phil who served and helped us. Our breakfast the following morning was great and thanks to Janey (sp?) for the great service and tips to visiting Lake Michigan. We’ve already booked our next get-away weekend here and can’t wait to return.

We only stayed here one night to be closer to the area for a local family gathering the following day. We were very pleased. Lodge & grounds are pretty & inviting. Room was updated but still a rustic theme. Entire room was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The light grab and go breakfast items were perfect for us. If we had been there at dinner time, I would have chosen the stay and dine package which gives you dinner for two in the restaurant for an additional $20. Staff were friendly when we checked in. A room had a porch with two Adirondack chairs. The only drawback was that our room faced the highway creating some noise when you were outside. Next time I would choose a room on the other side of the building.

Great place to stay
Room was clean and nice and comfy. Restaurant was a bit expensive and not worth the price. Staff very nice and quickest check in I ever had.
