Bass Pro Shops Angler's Lodge

Don’t let the website fool you. Very disappointing that Bass Pro has their name on this property. I was so excited to surprise my husband with a quick trip to Springfield to see the aquarium & wildlife museum and of course shop in his favorite store. When I saw the website for this lodge I was so excited. With it being $150.00 per night on a Saturday night I never would had expected to be disappointed. The lobby is decorated really nice and smells like pine. The staff at the front desk super nice as well. Then you enter your room. Rooms look really small compared to other hotel rooms but they are decorated nicely. The room smelled musty and the air conditioner didn’t work well. The beds feel like a cheap hard mattress a cot might have been more comfortable. The sheets are the lowest quality sheets I have ever slept on (very scratchy). Then there was the pillows... worst pillow I have ever used. The nicest thing in the room was the towels they appeared to spare no expense on them. To top off my disgust the side of the bed had something spilt or stained on it. Was surprised housekeeping would leave this as it was. So to sum this up. Pros - location, breakfast, towels and lobby Cons- questionable housekeeping practices, uncomfortable bed, uncomfortable sheets, uncomfortable pillows, poor air conditioner and smell. Most importantly the overpriced rate. Staying at other bass pro properties my expectations were set much higher than the motel 6 quality rooms they are passing off as Bass Pro Shops Anglers Lodge. This could be a nicer place if they would invest a little bit of money so it matches the reputation of the name it displays.

Booked to break up a long car journey and for its proximity to the Bass Pro shop and attractions. Easy to find right on the main road. Decor is a bit contrived but met by pleasant staff member. Room was small but OK, had basic amenities. Breakfast room was a bit soulless. Food fairly basic but still coming to terms with the vast amount of single use plastics! You take your life in your own hands if you choose to walk to the attractions as the road is wide and busy. Key card gives a discount in Hemmingway restaurant. Parking no issue.

Purchased a new boat at Bass Pro shops and stayed at Anglers Lodge while in Springfield.. beautiful property and great staff .. convenient to everything and we had a comfortable stay.. AND the have a great breakfast !! Will definitely stay again when we are in the area..

Totally found this establishment by surprise. My friend and I were looking for a nice comfortable place. Found this on ******* app. Excellent place and a great find. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Midwest. By sheer luck we came upon this place. A real gem in the Midwest.

Was double charged for my stay and told “just wait for it to drop off” and “there’s nothing we can do about it” Not to mention the double charge made my account negative, and therefore i got charged a overdraft fee for their mistake. There’s no corporate you can speak to either.
