Courtyard Springfield Airport

I had an absolutely awful experience with the managment/customer service at this location. I booked this hotel for a 1-night business trip through Chase Travel. Upon checking in at 6 pm, I was told my reservation had been canceled. The concierge (Lauren) basically told me that a manager had gone ahead and canceled my booking at 5 pm due to a "burst pipe," and they were sold out so I had no choice but to find another location. Strangely, no one else at the front desk had any idea about this supposed "burst pipe." Upon calling Chase Travel and *******, we were told that the hotel had informed them I couldn't be accommodated (via email) with no explanation. There was no phone call directly to me. Meanwhile, while I am sitting in the lobby on the phone trying to resolve, about 20+ people came in and successfully checked in. After about 30 minutes, the concierge called me over and told me someone had just canceled and I now miraculously had a room. After a long day, I accepted this new room. The concierge took my card for "incidentals." The next day I checked out and departed Springfield. Come to find out, the concierge ran my card to charge me for my booking even though they knew my original booking was under Chase Travel. This hotel is extremely shady - and I get the suspicion the woman at the front desk was doing shady business practices. I hope no one experiences what I did, especially after a very long day of business travel and work. I will never ever return here.

Although the folks who live here don't consider Springfield a small town, this hotel near the airport offers small-town hospitality. The staff is very helpful and solicitous -- from the shuttle drivers to the bistro servers to the managers. Just as an example, we arrived just as the Bistro was about to close at 10 p.m., but Kass was still able to put together a late-night snack for us when we showed up tired and hungry. The rooms are basic but very clean, and of course very convenient to the airport. Our one suggestion would be more and brighter lamps, but that could be said for most Marriott rooms.

Meanwhile, the 24-hour fitness center allowed us to maintain our workout routines. The hotel’s garden, terrace, and outdoor fireplace offered serene spots for relaxation after a day of activities.  Dining and Convenience The on-site restaurant, The Bistro, served a variety of American cuisine options suitable for both adults and children, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. The availability of a snack bar and coffee shop added to the convenience, ensuring that quick bites and beverages were always within reach. Very clean. Doors don't seem like they are flush to the frame so a lot of light from hallway but it does secure fine. Also lids to coffee cups in room didn't fit and no bar soap to wash hands at sink were the only "issues.". Nothing to defer us from using this hotel again!

Nice and quiet. Incredibly clean. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Great place to stay, close to airport. Wonderful shuttle service. Clean rooms!
