Moxy Springfield Downtown

This was my first stay ever at a Moxy hotel, and it was great. For Marriott, Moxy is somewhat similar to an Aloft hotel. As Google AI explains, "Moxy rooms tend to be smaller and more compact, focusing on clever, stylish design within a smaller footprint." Springfield, Mo. is the biggest city in the Ozarks, and both Springfield and the Moxy are hip places. If you are an old fogy looking for old fogy places, you may not like it. It was perfect for a night's sleep and a hot shower, however. You don't go here to spend the day in the hotel room. We arrived late in the afternoon and headed over to a Springfield Cardinals baseball game. The stadium is a long walk or a short drive from the hotel. My hotel room had a tiny desk, and the bathroom had a tiny sink with just a small amount of counter space. Both were adequate for my needs, however. My room had two queen beds situated lengthwise along the same wall, with the head of one bed pointing toward the head of the other bed with a small counter space between them. If you are sleeping in the same room as someone who loudly snores, this might not be the optimal setup, but it was fine for just one person. The hotel is located in The Medical Arts Building, which online sources advise was built in 1928-1930. It is always great when a historic building can be repurposed for another good use. We hit the road heading to Kansas City, Mo. around 9 a.m. the next morning. The Moxy Springfield Downtown is, as its name suggests, located smack dab in downtown Springfield, Mo., which is a very cute place with lots of places to eat and grab coffee located nearby. If I were heading back to Springfield, Mo. on another solo trip, I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel Cute, comfy, trendy hotel. Amazing rooftop bar/restaurant. Food was ok, but the view was amazing.
