Hotel Ruby

Consistently praised for friendly staff, central location, comfortable beds, cleanliness, and modern amenities. However, some may find the exterior lighting distracting.

I would rate 0 if possible. This so called hotel is actually a motel that resembles a motel that rents out by the hour, if you know what I mean. We were routed here because the Davenport across the street over booked our hotel and made our reservation null and void. They said that they were doing us a service by putting us up free in a flea bag hotel that had rent by the hour vibes. We were mortified when we arrived at the motel. We the walked back ( in the rain) to the Davenport , where miraculously at 2:30 in the morning they had a room available. It was not a room we requested. Was suppose to be a 2 queen bed and we received a king with a rollaway. The front desk manager was noticeable overwhelmed , but the general manager was no where to be found. And the front desk clerk wanted to crawl in a hole. Busy now, the lobby was full of guests, many of which had sporting events at 8 a.m. it was now 2:30 a.m.. no one had a room. My initial call made me believe I would be on a waiting list at the Centennial, but would be tentatively booked at the Davenport at the same rate of $409 x 4 nights which would be $1636 plus tax and I was charged $3700!!!!!! More than double. When I call ,I get a foreign guy with limited English, which does not meet Marriott standards. THIS HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT AND I REQUEST A FULL REFUND FOR THIS DEBACLE , and did I mention I had my 16 year old daughter with me to witness this mess. I need a reply
