I recently booked a two-night stay at this Marriott but ended up completing my work a day early and checked out after just one night. At checkout, the front desk staff thanked me and emailed my receipt—without any mention of additional charges. Later, I discovered a $130 fee per room (for two rooms) had been added due to what they considered a “late cancellation.” To be clear, I didn’t cancel—I stayed one night and simply departed early. Marriott’s 48-hour cancellation policy was cited as the reason, but that policy should apply to cancellations, not early departures. When I called to clarify, the front desk reiterated the charge without acknowledging the distinction. This experience has left me questioning whether I’ll stay at a Marriott again. Charging guests for nights they didn’t use—especially without clear communication—is disappointing to say the least!

The hotel was beautiful, and I really loved the safari theme—it added a lot of character. The room itself was nicely decorated and comfortable, but the bathroom was a letdown. The grout was visibly dirty and could’ve easily been cleaned with a steam mop. The shower head was small, leaking, and had mineral buildup, which felt unacceptable for a four-star hotel. We ordered breakfast and the food was decent—not great, but satisfactory. Overall, I wouldn’t return. It just wasn’t worth the price.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Several areas in the lobby for socializing. Our room was beautiful and spacious.

Outstanding accommodations! What luxury hotels are supposed to be like. The room was well equipped, clean and spacious. Service was also excellent. As a guest at the tower, you may also take advantage of the amenities (spa) offered at the sister hotels.

This is a review of The Emporium. We actually stayed across the street at The Louie, Davenport but our stay included a complimentary pastry and coffee at The Emporium. Nice spot for coffee. We loved that it opened early so we could grab our breakfast and head out of town early. The gifts available were very nice as well.

The $20.00 daily destination amenity fee is a damn rip off that Marriott doesn't need to stay in business. The room cost and other fees are high enough.

The man that checked me in was very aggressive with me and treated me poorly when I mentioned that I paid with *******. I asked him for the procedures for valet parking since my work truck didn't fit in self park. He rushed and said the info is online and doesn't have time to answer my questions.
The area around the hotel is dirty and the streets are full of homeless druggies that were pooping on the sidewalk.
