This was my worst experience in a Hotel in my life. I arrived late at night and checked into my room with the man at the desk. The next morning I noticed brown stains on the toilet seat. I notified the front desk and the two ladies that were working there offered to change my room. At this point, I had all my bags in the room and wasn’t sure what surprises the next room would bring, so I just asked them to clean it. I was never given an apology for the issue. I came back to the hotel that evening after driving the alps all day and noticed that the stains were still there. I again went to the front desk and the man that had originally checked me in was there. I mentioned the issue to him and he asked if I wanted to change my room. I mentioned that I asked for it to be cleaned and that’s all I want. The room was made up, so why is it still dirty? He started becoming quite irritated and started raising his voice as well as walking away from me when I was talking to him. I showed him the dirty toilet seat and he started asking me why I hadn’t immediately reported it when I checked in. First of all, who even says something like that? I told him, I wasn’t wearing my glasses and I checked in late as well as having reported it first thing in the morning. And why was it not cleaned after the room was made up? He had no answer except drilling me on why I didn’t originally report it the day of check-in. My guess is he was blaming me. He ended up cleaning it, but not without getting very rude. At one point saying (in German): “I could say something right now but I won’t since you’ll complain about me as well”. Unbelievable! This caused an argument where he just stormed off and then some Karen that didn’t even work there started to attack me in the lobby. Dropping her jacket to the floor like she wanted to physically attack me. She was yelling at me to leave the hotel, until she realized I had a room key. All of this was so bizarre and unbelievable, I was just amazed and at a loss for words. I was the only person that wasn’t white in the entire hotel (workers and guests). As much as I don’t think it has to do with that, I feel like I should mention it. The man at the front desk has no reason to be working in the service industry. The fact that the toilet was not clean when I checked in, or even after the room was made is a failure on the hotel. The fact that they allowed someone that wasn’t even a guest in the hotel to yell at me in the lobby is beyond me. I believe she was just a friend of the staff. Oh yeah, her real name was Mara, I believe. I’ll be leaving this review on a few sites. Unbelievable experience. Never again.
