It's more the four stars than a five stars. The rooms are quite old the breakfast is a small buffet. Besides the location the value for money is not that good

We were booked at the Poseidonion Hotel for 4 nights for a short break on the island. However our trip was cut short by a change of circumstances. The hotel concierge Zoe was excellent at sorting everything out for us to make a swift return home The hotel is extremely comfortable (deluxe rooms a tad small but adequate)and well decorated with a perfect setting on the seafront. Sitting on the front terrace was the highlight in the evening before going for a stroll or dinner. The pool is well kept and clean, maybe a little shallow for some. Sun-beds were out nicely and inviting. Breakfast was included in our stay. Beautifully presented with a mixture of sweet and savoury things classic Greek. Please don’t expect full on English/American breakfast although lots of pancakes and toppings available The nearest beach is a short walk away with no facilities (at the time we visited) but you can have a little swim and then go off for lunch. It’s a no car island so the way to get around is by quad bike, e-bikes or horse and carriage.

The spa on the property is top notch. Every therapist was professional and treated the three of us to the best massages we have ever experienced. Highly recommend adding a spa appointment to your visit after the beach or in the morning! Fantastic! You won’t regret it!

I just spent a few days in Spetses at the Posedonion Grand Hotel with friends. We had a wonderful experience, despite some technical hiccups, which were promptly resolved by a very kind staff always happy to help. We also appreciated the food, which was excellent, especially the spaghetti alle vongole, cacio e pepe and the fried anchovies. The hotel amenities are wonderful and up to standard. I also would like to point out the incredible professionalism of their guest relationship manager, Serena Palmerini, who made our stay unforgettable. Her sunny personality and her invaluable knowledge and advice about anything related to the island and the hotel were certainly very helpful and made our stay even more special. Any organization willing to work with her won't regret it. She is really one of the kind and I can only recommend her. I will certainly stay again in this hotel when back in Spetses.

I have travelled often, but this stay was special. Everybody should make this hotel on the beautiful island of Spetses a stop at least once in their lifetime.. The Hotel is beautiful and unpretentious with a large veranda where one can relax surrounded by spectacular vistas where you feel like you are part of the canvas. The breakfast is wonderful but what sets the place apart is the wonderful staff to a person led by Zoe the concierge who is pure gold and nothing was too much for her to organize including a spectacular day on the water transported by a beautiful wooden boat where we explored the water and ate like kings at a hideaway restaurant. This morning the Masseuse I had was amazing, literally a genius. There is nothing I can fault about our stay. I never write reviews but felt compelled on this occasion to extend my gratitude. Thank you to all at the Poseidion for making the stay so memorable. We are so very grateful. See you soon God willing. Paul Galligan.

Nous étions là entre amis pour un mariage. L’hôtel est un havre de paix. On a cette incroyable sensation que le temps s’est arrêté à Spetses… La qualité des prestations, en chambre comme dans l’hôtel est une vraie marque de professionnalisme. La piscine est sublime. Les jardins sont luxuriants. Et la disponibilité du personnel est infaillible. Une mention spéciale pour Serena qui s’est pliée en quatre afin de rendre notre séjour encore plus merveilleux. Hotel is lovely, historic but elegantly updated and sited with its restaurant terrace overlooking a public plaza, and beyond, the harbor and views to the Islands of Dokos and Idra and the Greek Mainland. Rooms were simple but elegant — ours had a small but spectacular balcony view. The staff was really on top of it. The restaurant was really great, with a delicious breakfast buffet, great coffee. The lunch and dinner menus were the same and all the food we ate was excellent, inventively and deliciously prepared classics, a nice wine list, and a maitre d’ Serena who, as her name suggests, was a dream: elegant, gracious, friendly and welcoming. My wife and I had lots of nice chats with her and she kept the place humming without making any of it seem rushed. If past visitors found the restaurant in any way lacking, you can ignore the reviews because the current Poseidonion is hitting all the right notes in a kind of beautiful melody. Special shout out also to the brilliant and knowledgeable concierge Zöe who made the trip all the richer for her wonderful recommendations

I am rating the restaurant buffet on the day of ARMATA.This is an event once every year. You have to book in advance a table and lately they changed it from served dinner to buffet. The tables on the veranda were so close that we couldn’t sit! The buffet quality was extremely poor with extremely low quality! The service was awful! I have to mention that the price per person was very high for what offered

Was to be offered an uograde but was not. Service was inconsistent regarding breakfast and during bar service(did receive a wrong bill but I resolved it. Had a balcony with partial ocean view. Room was smaller tha a non balcony without a view). Had a larger non balcony room that was less in price. Noisey in which it was a whiskey event in which could not sleep until 2:00am. Shoukd of put us in a non noisey event area since this evrnt was pre planned. Noticed a managment change since our first wonderful experience four years ago (2919 in June).
