The bar tender was amazing!!the room was nice I think it would be a good idea to have a space to smoke.but overall it’s a nice place to stay.

The lobby is lovely as is the lobby bar. Friendly front desk staff. Unfortunately, the rooms take AC's minimalist style to the extreme. All beiges and grays with absolutely zero character. The bed was also terribly uncomfortable, which was surprising. The kicker, however, is the train noise. I cannot emphasize this enough. The tracks sit directly behind the hotel. Each train that passes blows its horn for several minutes as it approaches and then passes through the downtown area. At night, this occurs roughly every hour until around 4:00 am. If you appreciate a quiet sleeping environment, this hotel is not for you.

Very beautiful hotel, however, expected a little more from the rooms. We booked a King room for 2 nights (Saturday/Sunday). We arrived a little early, but were able to get into our room. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The room itself is very sparse. The bed was very hard, both my husband and I woke up with sore backs both mornings. The shower door kept opening, like the building is on a slant or something. We were there on a rainy Sunday, so not much to do in the area. The tv in the room kept freezing, don't know if it was the cable/internet or what. It also didn't swivel so that you could see it from the couch area. Towels were think and small. Overall, it was average, I expected a little more luxury at this price point. But could have stayed at the Holiday Inn and been just as happy.

The AC Hotel Spartanburg was a huge surprise. Generally AC hotels are rated as 3 star hotels but this property is on par with many 4 and 5 star properties. The hotel is new, modern and spotless. The common areas are really nice and feel more like you are in a hotel in NYC than in a small city in South Carolina. My room was good size, very clean and very comfortable. The hotel is located in the center of Spartanburg so it's close to downtown restaurants and breweries and overlooks the brand new ballpark for the minor league Hub City Spartanburgers. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the Spartanburg area.

Very comfortable and classy. Very friendly environment in the perfect location. Will stay again. The hotel had the same initials as my husband Ahdonus Cofer. He was feeling rich and famous for a weekend. He said he was the new owner. lol. Great stay.
