AC Hotel Spartanburg

Really didn't like it. Room style seemed European modern, which to me is very sterile in a non-welcoming way. Parking was easy. Check in lady really did not care about much. The room has a pretty good view of the neighborhood, though you definitely can hear both the train outside as well as the people walking in the room above you. The couch was particularly bad construction, as there was a firm metal bar under where you sit, so definitely not comfortable. The restaurant on the top floor wants nothing to do with the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was perhaps the worst offering of a Marriott property I've seen in years. The only bread was half a loaf that you cut yourself. No muffins or bagels. No hot food out at all! You can ask for some eggs, which in our case were watery scrambled version in a bowl. Just so bizarre. It makes a Fairfield Inn breakfast look like the Ritz. Most definitely would never stay here again.

For a luxury hotel, the lobby lives up to that however the room was less than pleasing. The bathroom was not very clean. There was mildew/mold in the shower and then of course I started to look more closely at the entire room (do not recommend doing that). The iron had burned plastic on it and I needed to spend time cleaning it before I could use it. The extra door lock did not work. The counter in the bathroom had a layer of something on it that felt like dust. Housekeeping was only every other day and when they did come, they didn't replace the glass glasses that had been used, nor did they change the sheets. The towels reminded me of Motel 6 quality towels and the shower doors did not stay while showering which led to the bathroom floor getting flooded every time. It was adequate for my stay but in my opinion, not worth the price. I expected higher quality beyond the lobby.

We came to Spartanburg to visit family, and not knowing exactly where their place was, I wanted to make sure we stayed in a very nice hotel. So far, Marriott has not let me down, and this particular one certainly lived up to expectations. As we approached downtown, the exterior of the hotel was elegant. The lobby was bright and impeccably clean. The desk clerk provided excellent customer service. From the lobby to the elevator, and then our room, everything was tidy, clean, and simply pleasant. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was impressed that the beds were comfortable, there wasn't excessive noise in the hallways, and the housekeeping staff was pleasant. When we needed more towels, they promptly brought them to our door. While I didn't partake in any food or drinks from the lobby, I noticed the well-stocked bar, and the layout of the seating area was spacious and remarkably comfortable. An interesting touch was the presence of Apple computers in their business area. I took a stroll outside and found a decent-sized pool with seating, another area with cushioned chairs, and the overall landscaping suggested that the property was well-maintained. The location was convenient, with small local businesses and eateries nearby. The hotel wasn't far from a grocery store (Food Lion) and was easily accessible from the main highway. While Spartanburg is a relatively small town with limited activities, we explored a larger city a few hours away. In summary, my family and I genuinely enjoyed our stay. The hotel is excellent and well-kept, and the staff consistently greeted us with a smile. The only minor issue was that the housekeeping staff might want to ensure there's no hair on the towels, in the shower, or on the beds. I had to do some extra cleaning due to this. Apart from that, as mentioned earlier, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would choose this hotel again.

Really nice hotel located downtown Spartanburg. Old style architecture but sparkling new. Check in was easy and friendly. Was a little surprised that Bonny Titanium did not get breakfast. Do get welcome gift but no member lounge or breakfast for top tier. Room was well laid out. Upscale bathroom, linens and very crisp and clean. Watched some college football in lobby bar. Great Lady bartender and nice snacks/ burgers / small plate menu. Highly recommend.

A first class hotel in all ways. Clean, comfortable rooms and good service from all staff. Always helpful. Good breakfast and fabulous steak house on 10th floor. Spacious and comfortable lobby free wi-fi. I have stayed here often and always look forward to the experience

I was attending a baby shower for a family member and have been to Spartanburg many, many times although not recently. I was amazed at this fabulous find in downtown Spartanburg! The staff was friendly and the rooms were exceptional. The rooftop restaurant was superb and the view was unbelievable. Particularly, if you haven't been there in awhile. Make the trip and stay at the AC Hotel. You won't be disappointed!!

Super experience at the AC Spartanburg. Stunning new hotel, super clean rooms, and we appreciated our early check in. If you are a light sleeper- pack sound machine or ear plugs as street noise is noticeable. Downtown Spartanburg is adorable and walkable. Highly recommend this hotel!

An excellent hotel. Rooms are spacious and conveniently laid out. Plenty of outlets for charging electronics, a spacious work desk, very comfortable bed, plenty of counter space in bathroom. Good breakfast, superb steakhouse on top floor. Very helpful and warm staff.

Beautiful building. Rooms felt cheap for what the beauty of the building would lead you to believe. Bathroom sink is about 2 inches deep easy for water to splash and would not drain properly. Sliding glass shower door opened on it own at least 3 times during a short shower. Guess I shouldn't have worried about it because any water out on the floor will eventually bring damage to their building but I am not that way. I like to try and protect peoples property. Sofa bed not good as a sofa, hard as a rock! Might work as a bed but didn't need that. Breakfast bar selections were pitiful. Go to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. No bellman or room service as you might expect with such a beautiful building. I had 3 rooms, one for my wife and one each for my daughters. I am not mad but I will select a different property next time.
