This is our go to place for our annual staycation during the summer. It's a wonderful resort. They have wonderful pools. They also have an ”adult only” pool if you want to relax away from the kiddos. To add to our wonderful experience was the Bird Man from Liberty Wildlife. On the 4th of July he had Aurora, a huge beautiful female bald eagle. You are able to take a picture with Aurora and as she is lifted up behind you she spreads her gorgeous wings! On other days he might have a hawk or an owl. The live band in the pm was fun too! The picture I posted here of the Bird Man is from Google. The eagle he is with is beautiful, but not Aurora. 💜

The Scott is beautifully designed with a chic, tropical vibe that makes for the perfect getaway. It was an ideal spot for a relaxing girls’ weekend! A highlight of our stay was the amazing spa experience. I had the best facial and the spa itself was beautiful. The resort was also an easy walk to Old Town Scottsdale and nearby shopping. We walked into town and adventurously took a Waygo home - a very futuristic driverless car experience! While the food was delicious, the service at the restaurant and Cabana Club could use some improvement. We found ourselves waiting quite a long time for our orders. The Club may have been short staffed as we had to put in our own drink orders at the bar as servers didn’t come around, and glasses were left unattended around the fire pit area, which detracted a bit from the ambiance. All in all, though, the inspiring design, relaxing atmosphere, and incredible spa made it a wonderful stay.

The hotel is older and small but staff is friendly and location is fantastic for visiting Old Town Scottsdale. Was very disappointed that we booked through Trip.com for a king room and they sent to the hotel that our reservation was for a double room and since the hotel was completely sold out the hotel did not honor what our reservation confirmation showed.

The property is 5 Diamonds in every way. Location central to all of Scottsdale. Grounds are beautiful and the housekeeping staff is excellent. All appointments in the spacious rooms are premium down to the leather box for the TV remote. We ate breakfasts in the Ironwood Grill and the food and service were 4 star. Best of all, the service and friendly staff elevated this resort to top level. This was the first time at the Princess; it won't be our last.

The staff was very friendly the rooms were clean and they were very accommodating I was very fortunate to be able to be helped by Katie at the front desk she was very accommodating when I requested a room with a hot tub because previous night they were not available. And a bonus I was right next to the pool. Definitely will come back!

Service is not up to par, better resorts in the area, would not recommend. Bad service started at dinner when we were left for 15 minutes to wait for drinks only to be told they were out of the ingredients needed to make the drink, then delivered a steak with no knife and no one came back to check on us for the rest of the meal. There was only 1 other table occupied, it was not busy. Then checked into a room comically far from front desk, 10 minute walk with no offer of assistance with bags. next morning ordered toast from room service, after 45 minutes of waiting went to pick up the food myself, guy who was bringing food was in the hallway so i took the box and realized it was cold and asked him to take it back and i would come down and pick up a fresh plate. While I was waiting in restaurant entrance a couple came to eat and was told ”you can sit down but no one will be able to help you for at least 15 mins”, this is 10am on a Sunday and again the restaurant is mostly empty, I'm not sure if its a staffing issue but it seems to be strange to be so under prepared for simple services. Someone dropped my new food and the bill on a table, again no acknowledgment or apology, and then I see I was charged a room service fee and an auto-gratuity, but bc there was no one around to ask i just left frustrated and thought I'll handle it on my way out. But upon check out the woman at the front desk was even more rude and dismissive, telling me if I had an issue I had to walk back to the restaurant and ask them even though she called them to confirm my order. I don’t expect this type of service from a high end resort, if a customer has an issue big or small it should be acknowledged and remedied by the staff. They may have remodeled the outside to look pretty but the inner workings do not match the facade.
Daily Resort Charge includes: Basic guest internet access: fitness classes and spa access: club storage: self-parking: on property shuttle. This charge includes an $11.51 gratuity for bell service, resort drivers and concierge.

There is good reason this place has so many 5 star reviews. Before I arrived, I received an email from the property about construction. I called and spoke with Derek and explained it was an anniversary trip and that we would like a room away from the noise. We ended up with a beautiful room and heard no noise at all. Derek and his colleague Sydney were responsive to all of our needs and requests, no matter how small. They really do go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience for their guests. Daily breakfast at the Canyon Suites was also top notch. Everything was fresh and their “continental breakfast” included bagels, smoked salmon, delicious pastries and fresh fruit among many other things. My experience at the spa was delightful, but not exceptional. The spa was very busy which is good for the venue I suppose, but it was loud in the relaxation spaces and just felt crowded. I didn’t even try to go to the spa pool since the Canyon Suites pool was so much calmer and quieter. You have access to the main resort pools which were fun and boisterous and I’m glad we experienced a day of it, but for a vacation meant for unwinding, it was back to the Canyon Suites pool for the rest of our stay. All of the pools greet you almost immediately with ice water (complimentary) and a menu to order (pay for) other snacks if desired. The restaurants were also very good, but you’d expect that at the prices they charge. I definitely recommend The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician.

A colleague and I popped over from the Courtyard property that is adjacent. We had dinner and drinks. Terrific food, and even better service. Alan was top notch on service and suggestions on what to get. Will definitely be back!! If you’re considering this property it’s a great choice, and be sure to go see Alan for great food, drinks, and service!
GGuest User*** Updating my former review of 1 star and changing it to a 3* overall review. My pre-vacation experience was a terrible terrible nightmare, worthy of zero stars. We were canceled on the week before our trip with zero warning or notice. I found out the hard way...we were left without a reservation and no communication of such changes. As someone wigh considerable travel and business management experience and one who hates to complain about trivial things I have to say the way this company operates in different segments (marketing, promotions, guest services, reservations, concierge, front desk management, and travel club etc) nobody knows what the next department does or has authority to do. There is WAY too much transferring, lost colls, horrific lack of communication between departments, the list could go on. They hire an outside ”marketing” department that frequently lies to prospective guests and once on property, management deflects blame to them for discrepancies. Happened to me, happened to woman at front desk while I was waiting. You hired a marketing company, if you disagree with their slimy techniques, say something, do something, fire them. Deflecting is not an answer. Guests deserve better treatment. Period. THAT SAID, our experience prior to arrival and during our stay was complete opposite. This resort is quite lovely. My family had a really terrific stay. The villas are absolutely gorgeous. We were upgraded to a 2 bed signature at check-in. Process took 5 min most. Resort is small enough to walk quickly everywhere. So very family friendly. Kids had a blast. Pools were not over crowded. Management was kind and considerate. Gave us extra pool towels and bottled water, opened the market for us after hours. No hassell with wristbands or ridiculous rules. Could eat and drink at the table by the pool. The best part was no rule nazis. It was a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Bartenders made some great White Russians 👌 Stay itself was a 5*, but giving this 3* overall for experience leading up to trip.
GGuest UserWow this hotel is beautiful! Everything was a great experience from check in to check out. Great location, close to many places to eat. The rain tree cafe was closed the night we checked in and we are out for breakfast so I cannot comment on that. The room was perfect, clean and in good condition. I wish we could have stayed more than one night! Everyone was so friendly too!
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights in mid-January. The hotel was well appointed, and well maintained, both in our room and in the public areas. The outdoor pool was very cold, but the hot tub was just right, and the surrounding deck tempted us to sun bathe. Breakfast was the usual HIE fare. The staff were friendly and helpful, laying up our stock of dry ice in their freezer when we discovered that the frig in our room did not have a freezer. The one curious feature here was the absence of a microwave in our room. This was a first in more than 500 HIE stays! It forced us to take our dinner plates downstairs to warm in the communal microwave adjoining the check-in counter. This was mystifying because it was transparently obvious that there had been a microwave in our room, and that it had been removed. Forcing guests to use a communal microwave during the midst of a pandemic is an incredibly bad idea; I implore the General Manager to address this issue at once.
Great experience, America the teller up front was great. Ms.Lisa was also very nice along with the workers of the bistro bar & kitchen. Also the rooms were very clean and even smelled amazing. I also enjoyed the amenities that being the hot tub, pool and gym. Honestly a great experience
KKathleen Fergusonwe checked in the facility and I t 2 pm. Our room was very clean and the hotel front desk representative was very personable, he made my husband and I very welcome. One of the best things about this place was that its right next door to the Glendale Mall. I was able to shop while hubby stayed at our room. All the great restaurants are within 2 blocks. I am very satisfied with our stay at La Quinta. I would definetely go there again and also recommend this facility.
The gentleman who checked us in was cordial and accommodating. I was there for surgery, and they allowed my husband a late checkout. The room was small but nicely decorated. Everything was clean, and the towels were fresh and smelled really good. The walk-in shower was a bit dated but worked fine. The beds were too squishy for our tastes but were overall comfortable. The heater worked well and was quite a bit quieter than most hotel heaters. The WiFi works pretty good. Oddly, Verizon coverage was weak at 4g 1-2 bars. There is a limited breakfast, and it goes fast. It was quiet since the hotel is back off main road a little. We would stay here again.
NNSF4040First, check in and check out was very easy, no issues here even when I had a Marriott gift card that the front desk associate never esperience before. Room was very clean and quiet even though the first night we had some kind of junior high sports team staying there. Good location, near what we wanted to do. BUT-- we stayed two nights and their policy is that they clean and replace the bedding and towels after the second night. Starters there only enough towels for one night. If the guest is staying two night you should expect towel and room make up service. Also, the room was small for a king suite. Maybe great for one person but not for 2 or more. As always for most motels, there was not enough lighting and it could use more outlets for our electronic devices. We had to charge everything from cells to hearing aids. So extra outlets would have been nice.

Very Good
HORRIBLE PLACE, even worse staff. Working in a hotel should be for people who are friendly and kind, that extends to the people they work with. I stayed here, and while I was walking one evening outside my room I noticed a housekeeping worker sitting alone past midnight on a small little golf cart. She was distressed and almost crying, when I asked what was wrong she said she had left her car key locked in the workers office and the staff and security guard refused to help her, she had no money for an Uber no family to come get her. She said she’s a mother has small kids, and all I could think of is what kind of establishment treats people like that? Or is it just housekeeping workers get treated that way? The front desk staff was rude and condescending, like you’re bothering them by asking them questions. They think being a front desk receptionist means they get to be rude to everyone else and pretentious. If this is the way this establishment treats its workers then it’s a very good reflection of how they run it and I will not ever be staying here again, I will not recommend it and I hope they get some kind of lawsuit for treating their workers like scum.
IinbdouglassWe had medical emergency and husband had to be transferred from a hospital to one near here. Yosex answered my many calls and was so patient with me, answering all my quetions.
