Participated in a week-long Retreat at beautiful Spannocchia Farm. The visit was absolutely magical! We had fabulous accommodations, three amazing organic gourmet meals a day — from food grown at the farm, crystal clear drinking water from their well, and their freshly pressed olive oil. Add to that, the great hikes and star gazing on this secluded property. Finally, our day trip to Siena was a convenient half hour away. Can’t wait to go back!!

Although the grounds and our room was beautiful, we were very disappointed. Part of why we choose this agriturismo was the opportunity to take one of the many tours on the farms. We were there three days and every day they were “too busy” to do any tours. I had asked very specifically about the tours in advance and told they could be scheduled on arrival and that we would really enjoy seeing the workings of the farms. We NEVER got a tour. Staff: The staff was not very friendly or welcoming, because they were preoccupied by the groups staying at the agriturismo. Food: Breakfast was fine (nothing special) and dinner was underwhelming (we were in Italy for 2 weeks and had many wonderful meals.) They did have a nice cocktail hour before dinner overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Accommodations: We had a beautiful little cottage, (dated in the 1400’s) that was very clean. Warning: If you choose to stay (or are given) a place on the far side of the property (about 3/4 mile walk to the main building, restaurant, etc.) be prepared to drive. There is no room for pedistrians on the country road.

Bel castelletto antico,ma si nota la scarsa manutenzione e mancanza di personale. Vino buono. A pranzo pasto selfservice a menu' fisso.Principalmente vegetariano di scarsa quantità e qualità e cucinato senza estro. Marmellata fatta in casa ,ma dal sapore di bruciacchiato. Caffè offerto al termos di tipo americano. Dopo reclamo ho avuto del caffè fatto con la moka fatto sul momento, quindi caldo. Oltre al silenzio e il bosco poco accessibile e un bel panorama non c'è molto da fare. Non vi ho pernottato, ma guardando lo stato esterno delle camere,i servizi e la qualità del cibo, non sarà un'esperienza che farò.

Spannochia is a magical place for those who want to slow down, learn about traditional Tuscan farming, cooking, and eat and drink authentic meals made with love. I spent several days at Spannochia as part of my school progress 10 years ago, and I have been dreaming about returning ever since. I was able to bring my husband for this trip and he absolutely fell in love with this special place as well. We took a cooking class, farm tour, and chose to eat the majority of our meals in the restaurant onsite because we loved it so much. We stayed in Casa Fantino- a very Tuscan style quaint home with plenty of room for the 2 of us. We spent time in the main villa for wine before dinner each night, reading in the cozy living room, and lounging on the terrace. We could have spent another week easily, and were so sad when it was time to leave. Everyone who works here makes you feel like part of their family. I will be dreaming of this place until I can come back again, hopefully in much less time than before.

Ottima scelta per chi desidera l'Ecosostenibilità. Posto nella natura, molto bello. La cosa per me molto significativa è che non hanno trasformato questo luogo in uno posto di lusso, come fanno in tanti. La VERA TOSCANA Anzi non vi è nemmeno la televisione, ho apprezzato molto. Silenzio e pace. Ritornerò. Grazie

Wer es einfach und altertümlich möchte, ist hier in den historischen Wänden genau richtig. Uns hat es gefallen. Bad und Dusche über den Flur muss man mögen. Die Zimmer einfach aber sauber. Frühstück war auch einfach und vieles selbstgemacht.

We had a wonderful stay at Tenuta di Spannocchia! It is located centrally to provide access to many wonderful sights and experiences. On the estate itself there are beautiful walks, interesting tours, fantastic food and amazing hospitality. We could swim, do laundry, access wifi, share community meals and buy gift items all in one place. We also got to meet and connect with lovely people from other countries.
