The Mercer Collection comprises an eclectic mix of a number of local adjacent Victoria properties with a central reception area, where you will also find some reserved parking spaces. These can be reserved on payment of £10 per day. Free parking is available by way of a residents permit for the immediate surrounding area on a "find a space if you can" basis. During our stay we rarely saw available spaces. I should stress at the outset that this is a factual review, not a complaint. We booked through ***********, and judging by this and previous bookings through ***********, it appears that the smallest room is assigned. Although described as a "standard double", room 1 was one of the smallest hotel rooms we have stayed in. Photos attached. I know that "boutique" means small, and this room has the appearance of many features being shoe-horned into a small area in order to meet a criteria of facilities. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, although there was room for just one bedside table. Hanging and storage space was limited to a free-standing unit shown clearly in one photo. The toilet and shower unit was akin to a cupboard, with very restricted space for anyone sitting on the loo. Breakfast was good, with a variety of options available.
