Firstly, upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk, and I had to wait several minutes before anyone appeared. This was particularly frustrating given my tiredness after travel. To improve this situation, I suggest placing a notice at the front desk indicating the expected return time, such as five minutes, or installing a bell that can alert the staff in the back office. This would help in reassuring guests during their wait.
Additionally, we had pre-booked breakfast but were unable to enjoy it due to a change in our schedule. We requested to have a coffee and a simple breakfast packaged to go, but this request was denied. Consequently, we paid for breakfast but had to leave hungry. This lack of flexibility and customer care was disappointing.
As a student of hotel management in Switzerland, I am particularly aware of the standards expected in the hospitality industry. The issues I encountered at your hotel fell short of those standards and were deeply regrettable.
