The staff was very nice. The rooms were remodeled and cute. There was a small fridge with freezer and microwave which was nice. The rooms were neat but not sparkling clean. Great location to access Boothbay which is a charming Maine coastal town.

The staff were nice but it was really hard to find them and it seemed that they only have one person running the place. Bathrooms were dated and I had strange mold spots on my shower curtain! Black and brown spots. The bed had a very thin blanket and the coffee maker in my room didn’t work. Also the walls are really thin between the rooms so please don’t play the tv really loud after 10:00pm please! It was hard to get a good night sleep. It was really hard to find any help at the hotel restaurant as well. Staff was not attentive or even present as far as I could find. I think this place offers some great potential but for the price I would have expected a little better.

Floors were disgusting. Uncovered outlets and things prior people left. No sink plugs and hair inside. Linen comforters were gross! Cove base along the floors nasty.

Overall, nice property that’s close to stores. Easy parking. The Front Desk attendant wasn’t helpful with local restaurants due to him talking on his cell phone.

OK, but I won't come back
I chose this hotel because it was cheap and I was only staying one night. I had the handicap room. It was quite dated, not very esthetically pleasing, but clean and fairly comfortable. I would not stay her for more than one night.

Up until this past April (2024), The Flagship was our “go to” place to stay when we were in Boothbay. It was always clean and affordable. The front desk staff were always kind, friendly, welcoming and helpful. My daughter and I arrived in BB yesterday. We know that the Flagship is under new ownership. The new billing contract to stay has been changed. The front desk was neither friendly nor welcoming. Not a great first impression. It appeared that there were minimal guests, even for the off season. We had requested the second floor, but were placed on the first floor at the back. The room smelled of mold. The bed cover on bed closest to window was dirty. There were spiders in the corner of the ceiling. The heater put out lukewarm heat. Our allergies to the mold were horrible. We honestly had to leave. We could not breathe and could not stay there. We did not see anyone in office. Despite writing to them, there was never a response. Long story short, we will not stay at the Flagship Inn again. Very disappointed that the inn has declined so much since December of 2023. We have always loved our visits to the Flagship. Convenient location to our family.
