The Leicester

Had an excellent stay here. Cliff was welcoming, polite & couldn’t do enough for you 👍🏻 The room was very nice & had a good sleep. The breakfast was excellent,warm plates as well & a good selection to choose from. The B & B was only a couple minutes walk from Lord Street.

Stayed overnight as we were attending a show at the Atkinson Theater. The Leicester is a lovely B&B and Cliff gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. The room was warm, quiet and spotlessly clean. Our only slightly negative comment is that the room was a little small but it had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of choices and it was cooked (perfectly) to order. There were other guests who were obviously regulars so it must be a popular place to stay within a five minute walk from the center of Lord Street and the promenade in the other direction. Next time we are goind to a show at the Atkinson, we will definitelty return to the Leicester. Thank you..

A top notch B&B in Southport I was very favourably impressed with the Leicester. The premises were maintained to a high standard and tastefully furnished and decorated. Spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfast was excellent, an extremely wide choice to cater for all tastes, freshly cooked to order. My bacon, sausage and black pudding were grilled to perfection, the fried egg just right. And home made marmalade too. Next time I'm in Southport I'll want to stay there.

Had the best break away recently for my hubbys birthday. The Leicester is so warm and cosy, especially room 7 for when we go again which we certainly will be. We went to see Bridget Jones then went next door to Roberts’s Italian, great food. We had a lovely sleep in the bed , didn’t have neck ache for once the pillows were great. Got up the next morning shower temp was perfect and the breakfast to die for, and they coped well with one staff family member down. Would highly recommend if you need to get away.

Took a chance & it paid off! Friendly and flexible check-in arrangements, preceded by a text from the hosts. Excellent facilities with all needs met! Extensive range of breakfast options.

The Leicester Hotel made an enjoyable family vacation even better. Louise and Lorraine are amazing hosts! Breakfasts are worth the price of admission; delicious specials, baked goods, homemade jams, and fresh local produce (along with some of the best sausages I've ever had) gave us a great start everyday. The Southport location was very convenient for the dedicated golfers in our party. They played Royal Birkdale, Formby, Royal Liverpool, Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Hillside, and West Lancashire, with the furthest drive at an hour but most just a few minutes away. When these warrior golfers were too early for breakfast at the hotel, a box breakfast was prepared! Whatta wonderful stay for this non-golfer too! Plenty of good restaurants and places to explore in this Victorian resort town as well as frequent trains to Liverpool and surrounding coastal communities. Lots to do and see in Liverpool, a day pass for the train made getting around a breeze - also caught Antony Gormley's "Another Place" at Crosby beach. A pleasure to spend time with Lorraine and Louise. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. Keep up the fantastic job Ladies! Can't wait to visit again. Wishing you continued success!
