Lovely welcome staying for 1 night on the 30th. August. The receptionist showed us around. Bedroom (no. 18) exceptionally clean with tea and coffee facilities. Continental breakfast looked great, with a wide variety of choice, all included in the price. For only £7.50 extra we plumped for the full English. Absolutely superb. I cannot understand the poor reviews I saw on this site before visiting, and certainly not warranted. Would definitely stay again.

Room small very poorly lit very dark, curtains hanging off hooks and net curtain had holes in, black marks on walls and seen better furniture in second hand shop. Paid £108 a night for double room not worth £70 a night have looked at photos of the double rooms on their website and can't find the one we stayed in.

After reading reviews about this hotel I decided to book for 1 night as I was going to the flower show. I didn't get welcomed when I asked for my room. My room was very pokey. The bed was very small. The wardrobe moved every time I walked on the floor. The floor boards were very loose, so everything wobbled. No tray in shower to hold shower gel. My only good review was the 2 young ladies on the bar. And I had a lovely meal.

Located near to park . Room was generally clean. Towels were small . Room was IK for one night but too small to spend a longer time there . On street payable parking locally, can be renewed on app save going to car in morning. Continental breakfast was basic quality. Nice atmosphere to have an evening drink in conservatory / outside seating area

We popped in for lunch. The staff were very welcoming - the Chef came out to talk through gluten free options for me. I had mussels in white wine & garlic sauce. My partner had chicken Caesar salad and her granddaughter had fish fingers. All of the food was very nice, with generous portions. We will definitely come back.

Liked · Room was good size, warm and comfy. Continental breakfast was basic but good quality. Disliked · Arrived on Monday to find that restaurant is closed on a Monday (and always has been!). Was initially offered cooked breakfast (at additional £6) but this was withdrawn as this option is only available at weekends. Very young staff in training were not able to provide any information about local restaurants (asked where nearest curry house was - one at end of road - but staff could not assist). Previous comments from others about towels I would agree with - never known such thin towels.

Booked for one night only for a night out in Southport with a Friend. Well that was the plan! We didn’t actually venture out of the hotel at all. We found a table in the cosy snug conservatory and after looking at the weather and a couple of glasses of wine, decided to stay and eat there! Can’t find any negatives whatsoever. First of all the price was excellent for bed and breakfast. We had the continental which we were more than happy with. Toast, eggs, cereals, pastries, ham eggs, fruit juice and melon…. Our evening meal was beautifully done and very reasonable. I recommend the chicken schnitzel - was fabulous. Our room (6) was beautifully decorated. Beds extremely comfortable and bathroom sparkling. Got to mention staff. They were all without exception happy, smiling and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. It’s close to the nightlife of Southport - if you can drag yourselves out of the hotel 😂.

Visited the dukes folly for 2 nights with partner. First a couple of niggles. Hotel states breakfast included, but after booking got an email saying its just a continental breakfast, and for a full its £6 pp. Location is ok, abit of a stroll to get to bars, eaterys etc, and pretty much all of the parking nearby is pay and display. We had a premium room which was spacious, big bed, wet room, all the usual tea, coffee, tv. The hotel has a lift. The reception, large conservatory and bar area was lovley, cosy, served good food and drink. Outside is a nice terrace with small koi carp pool. All in all a pleasant stay, close enough to shops, bars etc, staff were friendly.
