The spa was nice, but the bed had bed bugs, and I got bitten. The shower didn’t have a handheld option, and the water pressure was poor.
I checked in at 11 AM, which was fine, but when we returned at 9 PM, I mentioned to the reception that we needed the beds split, but that never happened. The manager came over and started complaining. I reminded him that our request had been confirmed in the morning. He was a bit temperamental at first, but it calmed down when I asked for an extra duvet.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Afternoon Cream Tea at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa. Great service - friendly, attentive, efficient, personable. Special mention to Rachel + Jack for warm personal attention and diligent service. Lovely setting. Comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere. Well looked after by Team. Delicious cream tea and able to choose cappuccino in place of tea. Highly recommend the Afternoon Cream Tea at Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa. We will return again (& again).

Had a lovely little break at formby hall. The spa and treatments were amazing. The highlight for us was the food and the service especially from Sonner Oz in the fairway. He absolutely made our evening with his humour.

I have had some very enjoyable stays at this hotel. The staff are very caring, especially Paul, who is part of the kitchen staff. He goes above and beyond to ensure that dietary requirements are catered for. I am very grateful to him and the rest of the kitchen and dining staff for their hospitality

The staff have really taken care of me. The kitchen staff are especially very adaptable to dietary needs. They can easily cater for gluten free diets without any difficulty and it has made my stay here very enjoyable. Paul has been very kind, he goes above and beyond, which I am very grateful for.
