Balmoral Lodge Hotel

Did the job and was a pleasant stay. Beds were comfy and decor was nice too. I'd stay again.

Fabulous couple my Freind was really poorly in the morning they were so helpful in helping me get him down the stairs and helping him into the car I can not thank them enough Stayed a few times here and the room was great with a terrace onto the garden so ideal for us with my 2 grandchildren and to have a coffee in the morning outside Will always pick this hotel on vacation to Southport Thank you again to the owners for all your help and support today Plus very grateful for changing my room to the garden room as well 100% given for this hotel and the owners 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Fantastic owners , great staff all are so friendly and helpful . Great rooms and amazing prices . Whenever I need to stay in the area , I always stay at the Balmoral lodge hotel , and will continue to do so

Had a lovely 2 night stay here at the beginning of August. Yes, the Hotel could do with a bit of TLC and yes , the bedrooms are a bit dated, but they are comfortable. We booked a room with a little terrace and direct access to the lovely garden at the back. Spent 2 chilling late afternoons soaking up the sun. We aren't breakfast people so can't comment on that and was disapointed they no longer open the restaurant in the evening despite it still being advertised on their website. The lady at check in recommended the Imperial 5 minutes walk away and it was excellent. We hadn't been to Southport for 43 years and was extremely impressed. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Nice people and the room was quiet BUT that is all I can think of that is positive. Dated is an understatement. Dirty, gloomy, sticky bedroom carpet, sticky bedside tables, peeling wallpaper, cobwebs, toilet that does not flush properly, disgusting old cushions on the bed and a decrepit chair! The Hotel Inspector would have a field day. I briefly considered breakfast but took one look into the sad dingy dinning room with the room next door piled up with old furniture and did a u turn straight out of the hotel.

This is a great location, short walk to Lord st which is fantastic. The hotel is basic but the ground floor room was good size and comfy. The shower leaked quite badly so we were given another towel to soak up the water. The breakfast for £5 is great value but is basic, but to have continental and cooked breakfast for £5 is fantastic. Feel the scrambled eggs were perhaps powdered eggs but not sure. All in all for a night or two a good stay.
