Bit late with this review as we stopped here for New year. What an absolute gem of a hotel this is. The excellent customer service started even before we travelled when there was a mix up over our booking ( my fault entirely ) and Adriana sorted everything swiftly over the phone for us. This hotel is modern, clean, friendly and extremely well appointed, the location is perfect for the lake, the sea front the shops and all local bars and restaurants Lord St and the town centre is less than five minutes walk away. Our room ( room 9 ) was compact but very well equipped with everything we required including more plug sockets than we could ever need - a refreshing change from the usual and being at the rear it was very quiet. We spent New years eve in the hotel bar and had a superb evening with Roberto spending all evening making pizza's for everyone including a special one off type for my partner as she doesn't like tomato - excellent customer service all round. The continental breakfast was plentiful, tasty and a nice change from the usual fry up. My only grumble ( and this is only me personally ) is the bed was on the hard side for my liking. In short, if your staying in Southport you will have to search hard to find accommodation as good as this for the price they charge. Give it a try, you won't be dissapointed.

Perfect stay.
Absolutely stunning hotel will definitely go again. Such a perfect welcome. We met the owner and his son very pleasant and welcoming. 5 star on everything. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

We held a 70th birthday party at the Anelli yesterday for a group of just under forty people. Adriana, Fabrizio and Roberto gave us friendly, attentive service throughout and provided an excellent buffet, including catering for vegetarians and gluten intolerance. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and nothing that we requested was too much trouble for them. Overall, it was a first-class experience in every way. We thoroughly recommend the Anelli.

Southport's Little Gem
We've stayed at the Anelli a few times now. As frequent visitors to Southport, we have found the Anelli to be quite possibly the best hotel on offer in it's price range.
We always book the superior double room, which is spacious, clean and airy, with an excellent en-suite.
The room comes equipped with a dressing table, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, wardrobe with safe and a large tv mounted on the wall.
There is only parking for 2 cars on the property, but there is ample paid parking on the road outside the hotel, with blue badge holders not having to stay.
The bar and breakfast area is very nice, with a fullly equipped bar.
Breakfast is a continental offer, with cereals, yogurts, fruit and a basket with pastries, croissants, cheese, ham and salami. Toast is cooked fresh on request.
It has to be experienced to appreciate how good the Anelli is. It truly is Southport's little gem.
