Lovely hotel, very clean, very comfortable, breakfast was amazing and the staff even better. You get more than what you pay for. Definitely a place to stay if you're wanting a positive, welcoming and comfortable stay.

We always love staying at the Camelia hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculate. The food is amazing. Love chic hotel in a great location We always look forward to staying here and would highly recommend it

Stayed at the hotel for a family wedding. Rooms clean and tidy, not overly modern, but had everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom quite tired and dated, but functional. Bar service and breakfast service quite slow and had to keep asking for things, all staff friendly and amenable, but could do with them noticing rather than needing to be asked. Wedding reception was excellent and the team looked after all guests. Good very decent and plentiful. Location perfect for us and free car parking was very welcome. Overall a very good experience and would stay here again

Would have been 5 but the attitude of the waitress who took our orders was so hurried and she sounded very cocky , not sure if she was pregnant or something , but always had very good experience having meals there in the restaurant for breakfast or lunch/dinner . Think she shouldn’t be waitressing is she’s in a rush all the time .

Had a lovely time. Breakfast good quality. Staff friendly. Ample parking behind hotel. Easy walking into Southend. Buses pass right by and go to Leigh on Sea

Nice comfy hotel with pleasant seating outside for coffee etc. Drinks prices reasonable for a hotel, and a good breakfast. If I had to be picky for £155 per night you would have expected to have a couple of biscuits with tea making in the room. Staff all very pleasant.
