This hotel was really a pleasant surprise: I wasn’t expecting this given the name of this place. They only had a basic reception setup, but the meals were great and the attention to the finer details in the room and the space was impressive. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I’d be happy to stay there again.

Great location, comfy rooms with plenty of extras, friendly and welcoming staff and good breakfast to start the day ! Having passed many times its deceptive from the road but they have plenty of well appointed rooms, coffee machine, fresh milk, cold water, mini fridge - good size parking - big bar/restaurant - good selection of cooked to order breakfast and a small continental offering.

After a disappointing lunch me and my husband returned and have to say this time was sooo much better the food was lovely , drinks perfect and staff( as before ) great , I had the hash browns to start there ere delicious and husband had pulled Pork for mains I had the pasta and husband the steak which he said was delicious No room for desserts unfortunately

I booked a table for four at Harpers for Father’s Day breakfast, admittedly quite last-minute. I reserved online for 11:30am on Sunday, 15th June, but then noticed on their website that breakfast finishes at 11am. I called straight away to check, and a helpful young lady reassured me it wouldn’t be a problem. However, the day before our booking, I received a call saying they could no longer honour it. I was asked who I spoke to and what time I called so the manager could check his phone records. I’m not sure if he was questioning my honesty or looking to reprimand his staff, but it didn’t sit well either way. When I asked what my options were, I was told we could come in at 8:30am — which simply wasn’t realistic for us. I couldn’t help but think: if you’ve got bread and bacon, why is this so difficult? Really disappointed by how this was handled, especially for a special occasion.
