We stayed at No. 4 Carlton for 2 nights prior to a cruise. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and is within walking distance to restaurants and tourist sights. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, getting our room ready for our early check in. The room was very comfortable, and they served a delicious breakfast both mornings. My only comment is in regards to the glass wall separating the room from the bathroom, which doesn't provide much privacy. We were on the main floor, which can be a bit noisy in the daytime. We would definitely stay again!

It was a beautiful hotel, well appointed and restaurants were within walking distance. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was scrumptious with freshly baked goods. Would definitely recommend it particularly if leaving on a cruise from Southampton.

Comfy and felt like home! Staff are so lovely and helped so much! Fantastic neibourhood Amenities well played out and everyone catered for. Complimentary continental breakfast was superb! Will definitely be staying again! Many thanks to the team for an amazing stay!

The welcome was exceptional, felt very comfortable, got all the assistance we could ask for. Style, cleanliness, service all 5 star. Recommendation for dinner was spot on. We got an extended check out to match up with our cab pickup. All of this added up to the highest rating available.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at No.4 Carlton from 8/11/24-8/13/24. What a special property. The owners and designers have created a true gem in Southampton. With only 9 rooms, we felt like we were staying at a wealthy friend's home. The colors, textures and overall look of the spaces were beautiful. The staff were lovely and helpful. One of our favorite aspects was the personal continental breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Fresh juices and milk (each in their own little glass bottles), cereal, pastries, jams and fruit. All presented in a sweet No.4 Carlton branded box. What a great way to start a day. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Southampton.

The best hotel in Southampton by far! I booked this hotel with my husband while visiting family. The staff were amazing so attentive and professional. The room was beautifully designed and perfectly clean. It is a listed building meaning there is no lift but the character of the building makes up for this. Small hotel making it quite and and personal.

What an amazing experience. Loved every part of it. The design and all the details from the lobby to the room are well thought and make for a cosy atmosphere. The room was large, the bed huge and soooo comfortable. I had such a restful night. I highly recommend for business people and couples: the ideal place to have a good and quality rest. The only comment I could make was the room was a bit cool but once I turned off the air condition it was great.
