Southampton Village Motel

While the room is very nice (design, furniture, finishes), the hotel is infested with spiders. It is not an exaggeration when I say the room had 20 medium to large sized spiders around the room when I walked in - spider webs in all corners, closets and shelves. I went to the office and told the manager and their response was "we have spiders" (as I walked out of the office I noticed spiders in all corners of the office as well). The cleaning staff supposedly was sent to the room to clean the spiders up but it was as if no cleaning staff had come. The staff claims the room is cleaned every week but if that is true then the infestation is very serious. Behind the closet's there were siders nesting. I decided to try and kill all the spiders I could find but the next morning I woke up and there were more that showed up. Lastly, the AC unit was full of a black material (possibly mold or mildew). I have stayed at this hotel every summer for a few years but it recently changed day-to-day management. This is a beautiful property that needs to spend the money and have professional exterminators come and deal with the problem.

Delightful stay; perfect location, quiet and nicely curated room . It’s SH so it’s very expensive, which i expect and accept. One suggestion/ lose the robes and provide some coffee instead.
