Came home a day earlier than would have otherwise had to due to no internet in lodge we rented. Guy next door had none either. Not acceptable to take important teams meeting in the bar. Asked at reception twice. No acceptable solution or offer of compensation put forward. Mobile internet was poor in the area too but not blaming them for that. This is not acceptable for advertised free internet. Girl at reception did not offer to let me speak to a manager. If you're gonna need internet do not rent a lodge.

Just because of internet issues. Arrived Sunday still no internet in lodges Tuesday. Reported to reception Monday said they couldn't do anything till morning. Didn't do anything. Explained I've a team's meeting Wednesday morning. I can use the internet in the bar. No compensation offer. We are giving them €1000 for 4 days. Talked to a neighbouring lodge they don't have internet either. How long is this going on? Any plans to get it sorted. Can you stop advertising free internet in the interem. If I was a foreigner without a phone without a roaming plan this would destroy planning holiday. No sign of caring.

Wasn’t satisfied with having to retrieve card details online given I was using contactless to pay up front. Lovely setting and one particular staff member,Sarah, went above and beyond to ensure all guests were ok-even if lack of support from trainee or management was forthcoming. Lovely place and staff but shame after provided details was unable to charge to the room thereafter. Sarah deserves a gold star for not only service but instinctive measures to deal with some undesirables with no support. Food lovely 👌👍

This is a great place to stay. The location is stunning with amazing walks from the door. Comfortable beds, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Already planning a return visit

Fabulous views and lovely ambiance. Limited food menu eg strangely no tasted sandwiches after 5pm (Sunday lunch meny only) so not exactly pub grub. Staff behind bar very attentive but floor staff very slow to clear tables - no obvious staff management.

View is awesome, hotel ok a bit old,not the cleanest but food was great especially burger. Staff friendly and helpful as I had troubles with vending machine. Was surprised that was no kettle on room and also no coffee/tea, drinking water/glasses. But night porter was really kind and gave me water and made me a tea. Toilet and carpet in the room wasn't the cleanest but otherwise was clean everything. Towels changed. Had a room just beside the place where's the water pump so was little bit noise coming through the wall but wasn't that bad. I would recommend to put some insulation against noise on those walls. Breakfast was lovely, next day breakfast (self catering) just ok. To be honest was good to stay as had worse experience with 3 star hotels. Total I would give 7/10 to this hotel.

Setting is beautiful, hotel is tastefully decorated, smell of sewage outside was horrendous. We only stayed for an evening meal. Service was excellent, staff are helpful and friendly. Meal was ok, we had battered plaice and the batter was far too thick and heavy for the dish IMO. Overall I wouldn't be in a rush to return, but I will say it was a bank holiday weekend, they were extremely busy so would give them a bit of leeway.
