Tamworth City Motel

Nice clean room for overnight stay. Complimentary breakfast very average so we didn't utilise it. Funny smell at reception was only big down side but room itself was ok.

Arrived at Tamworth City Motel, if it wasn’t for google maps we would have drove past as their sign has faded. First impressions were, run down & grounds untidy. A matter of fact greeting on arrival at reception. We were surprised to be advised a continental breakfast was included. The room was old, nothing like the advertised photos. They had sprayed a funky smelling freshener in the room that was horrible on opening the door. The carpet tiles are not laid properly & stuck up in places. I will say the linen, bedding & towels were fresh & clean however when I hung my wet towel on the towel rack the rack fell off the wall. We advised reception but they didn’t seem to care. We paid for two nights but had an unplanned situation & had to leave the following day, we advised reception of this immediately on the afternoon we’d checked in, she would not commit to providing a refund for one night saying she had to speak to the owner later that afternoon but she would let us know in the morning at breakfast. Continental breakfast was minimal however quite enough. Reception advised only when we asked that she hadn’t had a chance to speak to the manager, we ask to speak to him & were advised he was ‘sleeping’, this was about 9 am! She provided us with the motels business card, email & phone number to follow up the refund situation. Sadly we have heard nothing from them even after emailing them twice & trying to phone but they do not answer. We will never stay at this motel again & would not recommend this motel either.

Had the misfortune of staying at this Motel, the Guy on reception is rude, unfriendly, ignorant, and lazy. Apart from that the rooms weren’t too bad, but I will not stay here again because of the unpleasant reception. However, within walking distance is a superb Indian Restaurant which won’t disappoint you.

Exceptional service and very clean rooms. The facilities are older but obvious effort has been made to keep the rooms clean and to provide an extensive continental breakfast. Great value for money and wonderful service from the owners.

This is a 3 and half star Motel with 5 star service and cleanliness. When booking I requested a comfortable bed which it was. I came back after a tiring day to a spotlessly clean room please thank the cleaner for me. I have no hesitation to recommend this Motel to anyone and I will definitely stay here again when back in Tamworth next year. Thank you for a lovely stay and also for a warm welcome.

Very nice budget motel. Clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Sheets white and towels white and fluffy. The included continental breakfast was well stocked. Overall for the price this is an excellent option for a stay in Tamworth. We stayed twice in the last month and would definitely stay here again.

This motel is about what you'd expect for the price. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There were one or two maintenance issues that need attention. The parking area is a bit cramped but you can park right outside your room. Its good budget accommodation.

Very comfortable affordable stay in older style motel. Very clean and well presented. Free continental breakfast. Some improvements evident. Beds very comfortable and firm, linen very clean. Recommended
