*****PLEASE READ**** We booked two rooms for a whole week - however we arrived late, due to a medical emergency that kept us back a day and a half. We called to inform the staff of the medical emergency, and advised them, that the dr. insisted we could not travel (over 7 hours), to this location, for the next 24 hours and yes, I did bring the dr's note with his orders, that clearly stated that information. The lady I spoke with said that she would pass the message along to her manager, because guess what! .....................Of course, the manager "was off for the next TWO days." We were told by the staff member, that they DO NOT issue refunds! Her next question was were we going to be there the next day, because she had reservations waiting! Our best theory was to get to the hotel before we were screwed! We arrived in the early morning (9am), for the second day - after arriving, we go to the front desk, just to be told, that our room, was occupied by other people! What a F'n joke, huh! So, now we have to wait until 3pm, for our "reserved room" to become available! Talk about pissed the F off! Oh it gets better - keep reading. So we wait around, to unload all of our stuff, in the meantime, I am able to speak with the manager named JOSE! He is a joke and a half his own self! Well he didn't even look at the dr's note...... it took him 2.5 seconds to say "I'm so sorry, but we cannot issue any refunds. Not even with a note from a dr!" After battling and losing that argument, we were forced to wait until 3pm for our reserved room! We ended up on the bottom floor - 2nd WORST episode of our stay. A couple that had 5 kids landed on the top floor DIRECTLY above us! How is that even safe? 7 people in a 20x10 room? This all started the second night, but we may have all been extremely exhausted, that we were forced to sleep through most of it. All we could hear was loud thumping, running, and dragging of chairs! I did however get up around 2am and walk to the front desk, to let them know - the gentleman said that he would call and let them know. I honestly don't think he did! Same crap the very next 4 nights after - I called the front desk to let them know, once again! I did not sleep at all that night! So I walked to the front desk around 11am and spoke with the manager JOSE ! He clearly told me that he COULD NOT DO ANYTHING about it, since they were in their room! I advised him to move either them or us! He said there was no way he could do that either, since all the rooms were accounted for! I was angry and SO FRUSTRATED at this point! He said "I cant do anything because they are in their room, now if they were outside their room, like by the pool or in the pathway, with music blasting, and several people had complaints, then yes, he could call the police, and have the police handle it!" DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY PEOPLE! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED - WORST. WORST, WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT - AND IT STARTS WITH THE MANAGEMENT! Now

Worst hotel experience I’ve had in 30 years. Hotel is supposed to be new. And it may very well have been. But it was grubby, and it was uncared for. When I walked into the room, I noticed the walls were dark gray with no artwork or any interesting things in the room to make the room nice. Then I discovered the remote control didn’t work, which is always an indicator of what is to come. Then I realized on the bed there was nothing more than a sheet with a very thin covering. Neither of which appeared to have been cleaned recently. When I walked into the bathroom, I decided I didn’t want to touch anything. I didn’t even touch the handle on the toilet. In fact, I flushed it with my foot as if I was in an airport bathroom That is how grubby this place was. It was so bad I slept with my clothes on. When I woke up the next morning, I realized my back was sore because the mattress was so lumpy and uncomfortable that it screwed my back up royally. But it got worse. I looked down and realized the fitted bedsheet had come off the bed, and I spent the entire evening sleeping on a bare mattress . Ewwww! I finally got the gumption to go to the bathroom and took a shower. But when I finished, I realized that the towels were so gross that I couldn’t dry off with them. So I used the clothes in my suitcase to dry myself off. And to top it all off I paid $179 for the experience . What a train wreck. A truly horrendous hotel experience.

I went with my wife and my 17 years old son for 4 days and the place is inmaculated, maybe because it just has benn bult 6 months ago or less. - The cleaning service is perfect and they respect your stuff to the point that if you left something ON the bed they WILL NOT do the bed because they are not allowed to touch your stuff - My wife forgot her cellphone and it was just where she left it. THE GOOD SIDE: - The price is unbeatable, super cheap for the quality and location. - Everything worked fine - Lots and lots and lots of TV channels - Access to Netflix, Disney+ or whatever with you account - Wifi excelent - Nice design and nice pool - Nice and helpful staff - Not a noise at night - Nice neighbours and it seems that only families come here to stay the night - Fast check in - Always HOT water, and I mean boiling waters from hell hot! - Working mocriwave and working mini fridge THE BAD - I like or at least I am used to have the hotel rooms around the parking lot, in this case, the parking lot is on the back of the hotel, so you do not get to see your car unless you have a special needs plate or lucky to use the only 5 parking lots on room sight. - The design of the lamps on the room are not quite comfortable, if you turn on any of the room lights you are going to get the light right on your face. What we did was to light on the bathroom so the light was subtle and indirect and worked just fine. - The towels are small, not useless but small. If you are going to South Padre Island or just for shopping time and want to be near the sea and you do not care driving 35 minutes to the nearest mall, Ross or Outlet, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! It is located not near the main entrance to South Padre but also not at the very far north side. it is perfect to catch the sunrise on walking distance on botj shores.
