Room 1 was infested with carpet beetles. Although I discretely brought this to the attention of the reception staff (presenting them with 2 of the carpet beetles in a sealed glass - tbh I'd never heard of them until I researched it, we thought they might be bed bugs). Whilst they said they'd closed the room off and said hope my day gets better, we responded to the Premier Inn feedback form, who promised they would get back to me within 5 working days - guess what? No reply. I waited a couple of weeks, then sent comments and photos via contact us page. Again, promised a response in 5 days, and surprise surprise, no reply again. Do they actually care? We are regular customers to Premier Inn, and have never encountered a problem like this before. Whilst the restaurant staff were very friendly and other staff (namely Soxy) went above and beyond to help us with our booking, I would never stay in this Premier Inn again. Room needs a deep clean (that includes wiping the grime off the skirting boards and at the back of sink overflow 🤮) and fumigating. Totally spoiled our trip.
