2-Star Hotels in South Lake Tahoe

I stayed at this property mid-week and got a hot tub room for a great rate. I sense that most rooms have hot tubs. Anyway, I had a great stay. The room was perfectly clean. I prefer the ground floor with the hot tub rooms, so I don't feel like I am disturbing the people below me with the jacuzzi motor roaring. Bed was super comfortable, the jacuzzi worked great. The hotel is located pretty darn close to everything. They have a bike rental program too, which if you are into that, will get you to where you want to go quickly! I visited in summer. I'd love to stay at this place in the winter. The room is very cozy, with the hot tub, comfortable bed. It makes a great cozy room in the cold, snowy sierra winter.

The room was very cute and appropriate for an older mountain lake hotel. It was clean and the amenities were exactly what we needed. The view was beautiful which made up for any room shortcomings and despite it being pretty warm, there was a nice breeze most of the time we were there. Since there's no air conditioning, the floor fan helped in the evenings when the wind died down. The location was great since there were several restaurants within walking distance. The only real complaints are that the pads on the metal chairs on the balcony were all worn down, making it feel like you were sitting on the seat bars. We reversed the pad so that we were sitting on the back section of the pad which helped but the pads should be replaced. Although the mattress was ok, it wasn't that comfortable. An upgrade on the mattress would be helpful.

Good location, clean, quiet (despite our room facing the road and being at the top of the stairs so lots of people passing by), good breakfast kept fully stocked and very clean by some hard working ladies, all 3 front of house staff we encountered were friendly and polite But I had to make my bed!! They changed the towels ( not necessary after one night) but the making of the bed is apparently not done on stay overs of less than a certain number of days. If it’s a covid, cost saving or staffing issue then second nights should be at a reduced rate. For me it’s a luxury to have someone else make my bed. We think the pool was open but as it had a barrier splitting it in 2 it wasn’t worth using as you couldn’t have a proper swim Good value however.

Great service, there is hot chocolate packs, tea and coffee at reception. Room is clean. However, room is slightly small and it is difficult to find space to open luggage on the floor. Bathroom is cold, maybe cold air was coming through the ventilator. Air condition/heater is efficient, but air flow is too strong even at low fan setting.

A great location at a reasonable price. Our room, a queen bed on the ground floor, was comfortable. The bed was soft, the towels were fluffy, there was excellent lighting in both the bedroom and the bathroom. Both shower and toilet had good water pressure. The air conditioner was efficient and quiet. Hot breakfasts weren't available yet per COVID. The hotel has laundry facilities as well as an ice machine and soda machine. There is free parking but when the hotel is crowded, space is limited. It's a short walk to the beach and a nominal fee of $5 and a short walk to the ******s if that's your thing.

Great resort, clean, Great location with attention to every detail! Continental breakfast daily and popcorn and coffee all day. 2 meals, 1 is free, 1 you pay $12 for, burgers and Mexican. Bikes to borrow free. You can walk to restaurants and Heavenly resort where shops and Gondola are. Towels, bed, pillows were great. Had the deluxe suite with nice shower and 2 burner stove. Very well taken care of. Staff was great and helpful. Very happy with our week there!

It is very well located, a few meters from the lake, the facilities are good, the rooms have microwaves, fridge, coffee shop, floor, TV and shower. The staff is very good, ideal for a day-long walk and to get to rest.

Do not book her!!! I repeat, do not book here!!! Don’t give them your money you’ll regret it!! Most disgusting place we’ve ever stayed!! Filthy crusty carpets, old scummy restroom, broken down dingy “kitchenette”. Kitchenette? What a joke!🙄 Stove didn’t even work which we paid extra for. Paper thin walls and you hear everything!!! Heard the guys conversation next to us all night with his annoying laugh and noisy children. He also smoked right outside our room. How is this allowed?!?! Bad part of town where all the drunk crazy people hang out. Read all the other negative reviews complaining about the same things and be warned!!! Hotel hospitality phone number is a complete scam!! There’s no customer service, no manager/supervisor to speak to or respond it’s complete bs!! Don’t bother with your fake apology and how customer satisfaction is your highest priority!! More bs!! Customer satisfaction is your priority? Really? Then why haven’t you responded to my emails and phone calls or anyone else’s? Cause you truly don’t give a $#!+ about customer satisfaction!! You just write fake apologies to make people think you care. You’re completely aware that your hotel/motel is a complete $#!+ hole. I read many other negative reviews (unfortunately after my stay) from years ago and you’re still giving the same lame @$$ apologies. I’ll continue to tell everyone how horribly run your establishment is and warn others to never book here. For 160 a night on a weekend you can book so many other nice places!! Don’t let them ruin your trip if you stay here they undoubtedly will!

I stayed here for 3 nights while skiing at Heavenly. It was just under a ten minute walk to the gondola. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice. They allowed me to keep my car in their lot the day I checked out so I could ski the last day without paying to park by the gondola.
