Waters View Inn

We only stayed 1 night and that is because we were too tired to drive back home that night. When you arrive don’t expect a desk clerk, but you can call them and they will come. We were not told that we would be on the 3rd floor which would be fine if the stairwell was air conditioned and not so steep and too much for our 13 yr old little dogs. I was told that we were in a king suite 😳. Not! And was promised an ocean view. Joke! If you looked you could find a sliver of water. I guess that’s a view to some people but so so misleading. There is no place to unpack at all. Just spread your stuff in the floor. There is a tiny little sink in the corner for the 2 of you to share to clean up. Oh, don’t expect a coffee maker which there would have been no place to sit it. But no worries, they fix coffee down those 3 flights of stairs at 8 am ish. So early risers bring a thermos! Our room was booked by an owner, but he never once asked if we could negotiate those stairs. We are both in our 70’s and in good shape but after a few trips, dogs have to be taken out, it is too much. He made it sound like I was getting this wonderful room with a balcony too! There was NO BALCONY EITHER! We had paid for the next night and we were gone by 10:30 the morning. I sent and email asking if they would refund at least part of the unused night. They have yet to even respond and if they do I will post a second review to reflect that contact. $800 later I have never been so disappointed. It was our first trip in 2 years. My daughter has breast cancer and I didn’t want to be away while she battled ( she’s going to be ok). So we were so excited to be away. We are retired so you know we’re not rich on social security. If you are thinking about going there, remember the picture of the sliding glass doors on a private deck, is not going to be your room. 😢 it was a very sad trip.

I love the homey comfortable feel of the house and the rooms. Staff was attentive and communication was prompt. Breakfast was delicious. The beach is just across the street, lots of unique shops and restaurants a couple blocks away. We had a nice view of the lake from our room.

Happy place Service was remarkable and even called me to say we could check in early when ch meant I didn't have to wear my bathing suit on the 2 1/2 hr drive since restrooms closed at the beach. Always asked if he could do anything for us. Place is so comfortably and newly decorated. A few more upgrades will be done. Breakfast is a little too Gordon Foods for me though fresh fruit is available. Would like yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels, Bundes... Had a great view of Marina with a balcony. So relaxing, friendly, convenient to beach. Perfect get away.

Great time at the Water View Inn The Water’s View Inn is a beautiful old Victorian home that has been converted exceptionally well into a Bed & Breakfast. Our room was spacious and really comfortable with an excellent view of the lake.

Waters View is an adorable place, very walkable to town and right across from the beach. Innkeepers are a very nice couple, who make great cakes! South Haven is a really nice vacation town, with lots of little shops, ice cream places and restaurants . We will be back :)
