I cannot praise this property too highly, we were welcomed by friendly staff, shown to a lovely room with all the things you need to make a stay good. Easy to book for meals and the food was excellent and its not surprising that they have won awards for this. Enjoyed the stay so much we have already booked for next year.

Absolutely beautiful location in the Orangery for this Templespa ladies pamper experience. Mulled wine was so warming and the delicious cupcakes and mince pies were very festive. Extreme helpful staff. 5 star rating .

We recently held our first Rowan International Awards Ceremony at Downham Hall, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue is stunning – a beautiful country house in a peaceful location, yet only about 20 minutes from our HQ. The team at Downham Hall were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the planning and on the day itself, making everything run so smoothly. The decorations looked amazing, the afternoon tea was delicious, and the setting created such a warm, celebratory atmosphere for our event. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or staff – thank you to everyone at Downham Hall for helping make our awards ceremony so special! Highly recommend for any corporate or celebratory event.

Visited Downham Hall yesterday with family and friends to celebrate by 60th Birthday. As there was 16 of us we were in The Orangery which is a beutiful setting. The staff were so attentive and friendly and the Afternoon Tea was outstanding. Everyone said they had a lovely afternoon and we will definately be back.

A superb stay in a beautiful building with staff that are friendly and really know how to look after you. The dinner was amazing (I particularly loved the John Dory) and breakfasts were delicious too. Great chefs. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Well done!

This was our second stay as we had so much enjoyed 2 nights in 2024. The owner, Christina was very helpful this year, when we had to change our booking at the last minute, without charge. She advised the restaurant was not open on our chosen evenings, Sunday and Monday for diner but they fitted us into a full restaurant for a late Sunday lunch which was superb. The breakfasts were just right and our waitress could not have been more pleasant and attentive. Whilst checking out, by chance, I mentioned to a chef we had spent 2 days trying to identify the ingredients in a delicious starter dish; he kindly emailed it to me. Downham Hall ticks all the boxes; we have recommended to friends and look forward to our next visit.
