Downham Hall was our chosen venue to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary because of the beautiful location & excellent facilities. We booked in February for the July event, and from the off, Debra, our point of contact "party planner", was fully supportive. On the day, 65 family & friend guests enjoyed an excellent 3 course wedding breakfast type meal & drinks in the attractive marquee set in the lovely grounds. All the staff were super friendly & efficient & special mention to Nicki who was there from start to finish. The evening was rounded off with a super session by DJ Tim, supplied through Downham Hall. A truly memorable 5 star event enjoyed by all.

we got married here in june and i stayed the night before with my bridemaids. the staff couldnt do enough for us and were amazing in everyway. no stressful moments from them or hurried body language. the venue is stunning and event my now Husband was impressed with it which is very hard to achieve! thank you so s much!

Had a fantastic 50th birthday dinner for my family of six. Food, setting , service was excellent. Ribeye steak was fantastic and the truffle and parmesan fries were amazing. Really impressed, fantastic local restaurant/hotel that works really hard to keep there standards high. Lovely to see a local restaurant doing so well. If you have not been then give Downham Hall a visit. Had breakfast there around christmas with the family and was equally impressed. Will be returning, excellent all round. Thank you Doug

The room was outstanding - beautiful decor, very spacious and fully equipped. The setting is so peaceful - stunning views from every window in our room. So quiet at night. Delicious food and very friendly staff. Outstanding!

We had a friend's birthday at the hotel and they did a truly fantastic job. Staff went well above and beyond. Room as very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was a joy.

We had a wedding there and we stayed in the hotel as well. I cannot praise the owner and staff enough. My daughter was made to feel very special by everyone. The food was great and the outside activities were very well appreciated as they kept the kids entertained whilst the wedding photographs were undertaken. The accomodation was clean and very comfy. The breakfast was tasty and the staff couldn't do enough for you. If you were looking for a venue (wedding, birthday bash etc.), look no further.

We were greeted at the front door and shown immediately to a lovely bright and sunny room. Our room overlooked the church and car park and to be honest, it was so quiet we didn't hear any cars. Breakfast was enjoyable, especially the coffee. There was a good breakfast menu choice and everything made to order.
