This is a scam - no room available upon arrival. Reception explained that this is a scam, the booking didn’t go to them at all. And there are many guests paid, arrived and no room.

June 14th was our wedding day and we celebrated in style at the White Hart. What a spread of food and drink. The food was not just food it was a banquet fit for royalty. A massive thank you to Glynn, Gareth, Mary and not forgetting Glynn’s partner In superb dishes, Patrick. With the fabulous back up of very hard working bar staff, and back room staff, you made our Wedding Party a roaring success. Also our guests staying over night were delighted with their rooms. Thank you to everyone.

Stayed here for one night while walking the coastal path, as there was nothing available at Bigbury. So glad we did. Comfortable rooms and very friendly landlord. 😁 The evening meal was the best we had had on the coastal path so far and at a very reasonable price.😋👌 Breakfast was also very good. Would well recommend.

Staying here while playing in the town. A wonderful hotel with excellent facilities and the friendliest of welcomes. Lovely comfortable beds with good quality tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was particularly good, with quality ingredients and thoroughly delicious. Run by lovely folk who couldn't have done enough for us.

2 brothers run this hotel now and they are both friendly and efficient. The Sunday lunch was excellent and the red house wine highly drinkable. The younger brother runs the bar whilst the older brother is the chef. I wish these guys the best of luck and great success in their venture.

Clean, comfortable, excellent location and food. Really helpful and friendly. Modbury a delightful village, the church is spectacular and this is a great place to stay in the main street. We enjoyed our visit very much and thanks to Gareth and staff.

Super room, very comfortable bed. Loved the details including bathrobes, mugs with white hart motif, fan, toiletries and a coffee machine! Staff and owner efficient, friendly and very welcoming. Fabulous breakfast and we had a great evening meal too. Obviously new owner doing an amazing job.
