2-Star Hotels in Sousse Medina

I stayed here as a female sole traveller for 2 weeks in July. After reaaing some of the bad reviews I was a bit unsure. Yes its daed as are most apartments in Tunisia but its spotlessly clean, Bedding and towels were changed daily great views scros to the besch and location straight across from the beach 10TD for parasol and sunbed for the day and all of the staff are nice and friendly. There is a cafe directly below for anything you need and the apartments are very spacious. Yes its loud at night as its on a main road with a lot of bars and night club. I used ear plugs and had no problems sleeping. I am a very fussy person when it comes to apartments and hotels and I would definatey recommend and stay again

We couldn't get to Soussa by an accident. We were already out of time for free cancellation that day, the accommodation could charge us if you wanted. However, they understood our situation and cancelled without problem, without getting charged. What I want to point is the staff at reception and breakfast, they so kindly welcomed me, a lot more polite than in Movenpick Sousse where I canceled my stay just after one day. The bay is so charming, silenced and peaceful same as the personal, warm-hearted and kind 🧡 🙏 Breakfast is decent and has enough variety, rooms are okay and safe. I found my documents and stuff in order in all my seven nights of stay. It's only an honest review guys and thank to all these lovely people that work there🧡

Dar Antonia is located in the Sousse Medina ; a wonderful Tunisian palace, converted into a boutique hotel. It only has a few rooms, hence not a lot of staff and it may be difficult to find someone at times. The place oozes charm, but comes with some practical disadvantages : lots of stairs to get anywhere, open bathroom, open toilet, noise from other rooms, etc It has a very upmarket (= expensive) restaurant, where a sensational fresh breakfast is served. A great rooftop space with a ”pool”, but it is the size of a spa ; a superb place to have a drink, but it proved to be hard to order any, as they have to come from the restaurant, two floors down (by stairs). Overall, Dar Antonia is your best choice if you like authentic charm and are prepared to put up with the impracticalities that are inherent to an old building.

While a bit difficult to find within the medina's winding streets, the hotel is a lovely, hidden gem that both me and my father loved. You're greeted by the lovely owner with two small kittens that are just adorable. Our room was well furnished, air conditioned and had a very clean bathroom. The roof terrace offers a great view of the Sousse skyline and Medina and is perfect at night to enjoy the call to prayers. Breakfast was served in the main court area of the hotel. Very nicely decorated and the breakfast was very traditional. Nothing too heavy, but still filling nonetheless. You know care and love went into making it.

Hello I am going to give you my personal opinion in relation to what I have seen and experienced in this hotel it is not 4 stars sincerely I was taken in when I arrived I find no swimming pool neither indoors nor outdoors it is disappointing and the hearty breakfast it looks like the canteen of my old faculty in short it's just apartments for rent so no luxury

This was our second visit to this hotel! Which says it all!! This hotel is lovely! We had a wonderful relaxing holiday, which was made even better by wonderful staff! From our arrival from reception which was first rate, to our departure, always polite & professional! The house keeping we experienced was second to none (Souhir) was exceptionally efficient & delightful! The whole hotel was extremely clean & well presented! The bar staff were also very attentive & efficient! A real big shout out for (Nouredine top bar & Issam pool bar) They are both stars & really looked after us, with nothing too much trouble! The food was great, we always found something really nice to eat! The breakfast cooked egg station was awesome! Sometimes food was a little on the tepid side but there is a microwave ( if required) We had a fantastic waiter, who yet again couldn't do enough to make your vacation amazing (Salah) The rooms are comfortable & clean, with everything you need for a relaxing stay! The animation team where always busy doing something, but we can't be bothered with it, so can't comment too much! Location: for us was great, easy access to Sousse, either walking or Taxi! The transport infrastructure is amazing with loads of options to go places! If required! We had an amazing holiday & we enjoyed so much we are visiting again in March!
