This is such a little gem, right next to train station but you'd not notice at all. The entrance is part of a block of flats, the hallway is the communal area, once inside there is a sliding door into the guest house communal area with coffee machine which is free and available 24/7. We used this a lot, it was a godsend for us! You will be met by one of the team members, Caterina will message you via whatsapp and another team member will meet you. They will explain everything, which is simple enough, room, blinds, air conditioning unit, fridge with fresh water bottles every day, 1 natural and 1 fizzy, biscuits, cake, tea, coffee etc. We just used the machine in the communal area whenever we wanted a drink as there were glasses and bigger cups for cafelatte which is our preferred. The room is light and airy, lots of space, for the money its huge, the bed is also huge and very comfortable, with 2 pillows each and cushions. Lovely towels, slippers, usual soaps, bodywash, body cream etc. Nothing left to chance and everything thought of. We had room 3 which overlooks the train station and the garden, we had 2 huge windows, with electric shutters to keep the heat and noise out. There is nothing that you need here its all perfect. You would walk right past this place if you didn't know what you were looking for! So close to all the shops, restaurants, supermarket 2 mins away, its just located in the perfect location for getting about. To get to the marina is about 10 mins walk to the lift then 5 mins from bottom of lift. So we had ample time to get to the boats for our trips and 2 seconds to get to the train station. Couldn't have been easier to be honest! Would come again at the drop of a hat! Angela was super lovely and helpful even though she didn't speak much english, I offered to come and live with her and teach her english but I don't think she understood me! Caterina is available via whatsappe so if you are an independent traveller and not super needy and just want to do your own thing within a budget this place is just that! Well done to all at La Ferovia Guest House and their sister Guest House La Piazzetta (we stayed 2 nights extra due to flight cancellations and stayed there, its super nice) Janine and Keith
