Hotel Continental

it's really amazing, especially recommend the restaurant on the roof, which is perfect!! we enjoy the view as well as the service pretty much, and the dessert was a huge surprise for us.

great hotel with great location. an elevator all the way down to the beach. breakfast was great, the poll was lovely. nothing to complain about.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel because there were some things I liked and others I hated. Pros: - Excellent location and great view of Mt Vesuvius as well as the bay of Sorrento. You're within walking distance to Marina Grande, Piazza Tazzo and the historic centre with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. -Friendly and attentive reception and porter staff -Lots of choice if you want a continental breakfast and fresh fruit everyday. -Also a pianist would play music while you ate breakfast. It also wasn't ever busy even at 7am and 8am. -Bedroom, bathroom and balcony are a decent size -Comfy mattress and pillows -Kettle in room as well as espresso machine Cons: -Every time we flushed the toilet in room 203 a trickle of water would come from the ceiling. After a hard day travelling this was the last thing we wanted. This did get fixed the next day which was a nice surprise. I would have appreciated being put in a different room though but this wasn't offered to us. -Black mould in the bathroom. This could've been prevented if there were clear signs on how to turn on the fan but I didn't see this anywhere and the switch wasn't next to the lights. -Housekeeping could do with improving because the phone next to my bed was covered in dust. It was never cleaned once. -The hot breakfast looked unappetizing to say the least and the fresh orange etc was watered down. -You don't get many tea/coffee/milk in your room so I'd recommend bringing some from home should you chose to stay here. -You have to walk through an eery cave to get to the beach. We decided it wasn't for us and had a nightmare trying to get back to the hotel the way we came. The key pad was covered in ants and we were buzzing for ages to be let back in. Would I come back here? No Would I recommend it to others? No Was it worth the money? No

The staff were friendly, the view amazing, location amazing, and hotel restaurant amazing. I would come back in the future to this hotel. We also booked excursions through the hotel as well as transportation from Naples train to the hotel and back.

Well where do I start? Let’s start at the very beginning and hopefully I don’t forget anything! I’ve just returned from a ten night stay here. On arrival reception were just lovely and very welcoming. Check in was very quick and efficient. The gentleman explained what they could arrange in the way of excursions for you - I already had mine booked prior to leaving home. That even explained the tourist tax of 4 euros per night for the maximum of seven nights. One member of staff showed me to my room whilst the bell boy brought my luggage to my room. The bedroom was lovely and large. Nice and cool and very efficient air conditioning. Bed was very comfortable. Nice balcony with a table, two chairs and partial sea view looking over bay of Naples and Marina Picalo Bathroom nice and large with toiletries supplied. Housekeeping twice daily. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Choice of food very large and all buffet style. Antonio and his staff a credit to the hotel. Hotel very centrally located. Within easy walking distance of everywhere. Will I be back yes.

Great location, views from the terrace and service !!! This place did not disappoint ! Beds were comfortable (no real views from our balconies (3 rooms) but it did not matter .. views from the terrace were superb and location for shopping snd restaurants were perfect !!! Def would come back here .

maintaining a quiet area next to Plaza Della Vitoria. The view is spectacular. Our room was lovely with a beautiful balcony view. Service was excellent throughout our stay- from the front desk, to the restaurant staff and the housekeeping. And let’s not forget their breakfast. Amazing spread of everything imaginable. Very elegant set-up including live music. Their rooftop and restaurant is very popular and open to outside guest as well. Shout out to Antonio. We would definitely stay here again.

We visited Sorrento to attend a wedding and many of the guests stayed at the Continental. The hotel was fantastic and the staff were incredible. They were among the most professional and friendly staff that I can ever remember for a hotel. The pool was wonderful and relaxing with a great view of the hills. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and ended each night at the rooftop bar with spectacular views of the bay of Naples and Sorrento. Best hotel staff ever and highly recommended. We will definitely stay there again.

We are a multigenerational family of 11 who stayed at the Hotel Continental for 5 nights in August 2024. The location is first rate in the old town ,perched atop a cliff. We recommend the rooms with a view of the bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius- absolutely stunning ! The buffet breakfast was wonderful, with delightful staff led by Antonio, as we sat in a gloriously big room drinking a cappuccino with a croissant ,donuts, eggs and prosciutto. The rooms were spacious and clean, with an Italian lemon theme chic decor, all about 5 minutes from the town center .The front desk staff ,led by Veronica ( who we booked with ), and Tonio, were very professional and friendly. We believe this upper mid range hotel is a great value, and love the old time glamour of jackets and tuxes of the staff. The rooftop bar is wonderful, and the pool was large, with plenty of chairs. Our favorite "pinch me " moment was descending down the elevator to Leonelli's Beach. You get off the elevator and proceed to the beach through a cave carved out of the mountain. My granddaughter asked me if we were in a James Bond movie .Lots of fun at Leonelli's Beach, although you pay for the chairs and umbrellas. We were sad to have our La Dolce Vita adventure end, but it was time to go, and so our family's magical journey continued to Rome.
