So many good things to say about this hotel. The staff are all amazing and very friendly and helpful, I must give a special mention to Tiziana (apologies if I've misspelled it) who is such a lovely lady and an amazing cook. I would recommend eating in the hotel restaurant for dinner Tiziana cooks the meals which are so tasty and nothing is too much trouble. My family had four different dishes and all were amazing and as for the chocolate dessert, that was so good! The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, the maid service is fantastic with the rooms being cleaned daily. The pool is also excellent, very clean with plenty of sunbeds and a snack bar next to it. The hotel is well located, a fifteen minute walk into the heart of the town. The road is very busy and noisy but we had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the pool and once we closed the doors to the balcony at night, we didn't hear the traffic at all. I would definitely recommend Hotel Gardinia.

My family and I enjoyed a week long stay in a family room at Hotel Gardenia. The location was good, situated near excellent restaurants and a 15 minute walk into Piazza Tasso. The pool area was lovely, very clean and we were always able to locate enough sunbeds for the 4 of us. The hotel lent us beach towels so we didn't need to pack them. The breakfast each morning was really fresh and varied. The room was very compact but adequate, in hindsight we should've booked an interconnecting room for our family as the bunk beds weren't ideal for teenagers. Also as it was at the front of the hotel there was road noise. I would've loved a room at the back of the hotel which I assume are quieter and have better views. The air con in the room was brilliant. All the staff we dealt with were pleasant and helpful. We booked tours to the Amalfi Coast and Capri through Viator and Trip Advisor which took the stress out of using public transport during such a busy hot month. However the hotel is near the train station and bus stops if you prefer independent travel. There is a well stocked supermarket a 10 minute walk away which is great for drinks and snacks. We would definitely recommend Hotel Gardenia to families staying in Sorrento.

Just returned from a superb 10 days in Sorrento, staying at the Hotel Gardenia. What a lovely hotel, run by excellent management and friendly staff. The room we had was great, with a small terrace overlooking the pool and gardens and view out to the Bay and Vesuvius. The breakfast buffet was a highlight! I've stayed in many hotels during business and holiday travel. This hotel is how a hotel should be run...absolutely excellent!!

Nous avons fait un road trip en Italie, Rome-＞Naples-＞Sorrente, cet hôtel est le meilleur de notre séjour. Nous sommes arrivés trop tôt, pas de souci, les valises ont été mises de côté et un rafraichissement nous a été offert par la propriétaire. Nous avons déjeuné au restaurant de l'hôtel, celui-ci possède pas mal de choix, et les prix ne sont pas abusés. La chambre été nickel du 1er au dernier jour. A noter, pas de bouilloire avec café/thé, mais des chaussons ;-D. Les lits refaits, serviettes changées etc...Impeccable. La rue est assez passante/bruyante, il faut demander une chambre côté piscine pour un meilleur confort pour les personnes ayant un sommeil léger. Le petit déjeuner est complet : Céréales, pain, gâteaux, laitages, jus de fruits, café/chocolat/thé, beurre/confiture, œufs/charcuteries. Des extra peuvent être commandés en sus, et il est possible de se faire livrer le petit déj en chambre pour 5€. L'ensemble du personnel est accueillant, avec le sourire. La propriétaire parle français, et n'est pas avare de conseils pour passer un agréable moment sur Sorrente. La piscine n'appartient pas à l'hôtel, et est partagé avec l'hôtel d'à côté. Nous avons eu de la place à chaque fois. (transat + piscine) . Les consommations n'ont donc pas les mêmes prix et doivent être payées en direct. Dommage que de la piscine nous ne voyons pas la mer ( on ne peut pas tout avoir non plus ), cela aurait fait de superbes photos. Le seul truc qu'il manque : un pèse valise, nous avons été obligé de peser à l'aéroport de Naples (1€ / valise).

We had a lovely time in Sorento at Hotel Gardenia! The staff was extremely cordial and welcoming from the time we checked in and were offered fresh squeezed lemonade, to restaurant suggestions, to providing a custom seafood dinner for one with fresh shrimp, squid, fettuccine and tomatoes and homemade tiramasu for dessert. Chef Tiziana, Receptionist Antonio, and Night Porter/Receptionist Giuseppe made us feel at home and helped bridge the gap for Americans needing information on ferry schedules and excursions to Capris' Blue Grotto and best recommendations for trains to Pompeii. And the pool in the afternoon left us revived and refrehed after our daytime excursions. Thank you Hotel Gardenia staff for helping make Sorento a favorite stop on our tour of Italy!

Un séjour génial ! Nous recommandons cet hôtel les yeux fermés. Tout était impeccable : propreté irréprochable, petit déjeuner délicieux, personnel d'une grande gentillesse. Une mention spéciale à la propriétaire, qui s’est montrée particulièrement attentionnée tout au long de notre séjour. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent, la piscine est superbe et l’emplacement idéal, proche du centre-ville et des restaurants. Encore un grand merci à toute l’équipe !
